    New security camera install!

Wow! I'm impressed! I like your placement way better than ours and your quality looks really good! Is your placement on the top corner of your RV? I might be moving ours to where yours are located! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Not cooling very well.

My wife actually said the same thing when she got home from work (great minds think alike haha) she said call Heartland Monday and see if they or someone will inspect the AC's and ductwork before we try a whole bunch of other solutions that might not work or will void the warranty. So that's...

    Not cooling very well.

I haven't tried idea number one you mentioned I'll have to do that and see if it helps. The airflow does in some parts seem to lack more so than in other areas mainly the spare bedroom, I thought about getting one of those duct fans that suck the air through the ductwork and force it back out...

    Not cooling very well.

So thinking about when I mentioned the insulation, maybe I'm wrong on it needing that...? When I cut the dryer vent I noticed it had styrofoam insulation glued to the paneling, I would like to imagine the rest of the coach would be done the same way? Checking something like that might also be...

    Not cooling very well.

Unfortunately we didn't have a choice of 3 AC units or I would've jumped on that even before now more is usually better but I wouldn't have figured a 5 ft increase in size would've made such a difference in cooling capacity and I'm wondering if heating will be the same way... The AC output...

    Not cooling very well.

Our airflow seems partially low in our spare bedroom and that seems to be a common theme with the mid bunks. We do have window tent, black out shades and heavy black out curtains on all of the windows. Measuring our AC temps coming out of both AC's it is outputting a temperature of 64 degrees...

    Not cooling very well.

So I've read a ton of posts on here and was going to see if anyone had anymore suggestions on AC cooling seeing as I'm desperate at this point and we're not even in 110 degree heat yet! We have two rooftop AC's that just constantly run during the day and they only cool the camper 10 degrees...

    New security camera install!

I went this route for the solar setup, and pan and tilt option so when we're away we can get a good view of the RV. I'm going to eventually put the other one on the opposing side but time during the day always seems to disappear to fast. Maybe these cameras will catch the time thief? [emoji1787]...

    New security camera install!

It's a Reolink, the camera definitely won't travel down the highway but it goes on and comes off with a few twists of the mounting screw, the solar panel will stay on for sure though using the 3M tape. I've been pretty impressed with the camera so far! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    New entry door glass/shade

That's a mod I've been wanting to get done since our first camper, I actually wound up plasti dipping our window today for the time being due to the excessive heat coming through the frosted glass and our AC's not cooling to what I think they should be cooling down too. That was cheaper than...

    New security camera install!

Just finished installing our new security camera, it looks and works pretty good! I'm going to order a second for the opposing side of the RV. The camera has pan and tilt, no zoom unfortunately and it runs on solar so it made my setup a little bit easier! I used 3M sticky tape to stick the small...

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

Nice looking tires! I didn't know Goodyear had a mobile service, I'll have to keep that in mind for the future! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

That's very true, and inspecting mounted tires for damage is near impossible because they don't always show the issues through their sidewalls. I used to work at a tire shop and it was impressive with what kind of damaged tires folks operate on! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

It will definitely be money well spent! We got really lucky to not have much damage beyond the blow out. We had Goodyear Endurance on our Mallard M33 and I really liked them. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

The OEM tires were Rainier ST tires ST235-85-R16. We put on Goodyear G614's in the place of those. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

I had to call roadside service for ours too, I didn't have my impact sockets and breaker bar but had a tire iron which was the right size for the lugs but with those new fancy aluminum alloy wheels I couldn't get the tire iron there to make a bite. Roadside service was pretty quick though and...

    Three A/C operation?

We're currently in the same boat as you but with only two AC's. It was 93 degrees for a high yesterday and we never cooled less than 82 in the RV with both units running constantly. I'm in the process of figuring out what our next step is. I know our former Mallard M33 cooled off way better than...

Both A/C's water heater and fridge on shore power at same time

Re: Both A/C's water heater and fridge on elicit at same time We run the same in ours at times and haven't had any problems occasionally if we're babysitting you could add a TV or two to those same running items. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Holding Tank Plumbing

Another way to tell what valves belong to what tank is by using different colored food coloring in each tank and then opening the valves one at a time noting what color comes out of which valve. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Less than 2k miles on the OEM tires

We made a last minute unplanned long road trip last week before I could replace the original tires that came with the 5th wheel (Rainier ST tires) and I'll be darned didn't have 2k miles on them when one blew. Thank goodness not much damage just tore some tyvek wrapping and messed up about an...

    Truck

Speaking from experience on owning several 250/2500 and 350/3500 single rear tires and duallys from early the 90's to 2019 I'd most definitely recommend a 350/3500 dually and newer with the exhaust brake. It's a remarkable difference but with that said if your only pulling it to the lake every...

    Cutting dryer vent hole question.

As long as you go slow, start from the inside of the RV when cutting and make sure your "pilot drill bit" (the one that guides your circular cutting bit) doesn't go through the exterior fiberglass wall you will be good and can fix any interior "messups" with ease. The layout of the wall starting...

    Best route

We haven't been that far up North yet but if I had to guess the best route would be to come pick us up and we'll figure it out together, we're in need of a vacation especially with these summer temps on their way [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    2020 Big Horn water valve

Ours is the same way, I usually use a crescent wrench to turn ours and also bleed the pressure off prior to turning. This is one of the items on my summer project list to see about making a bit easier to use. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    No keys???!!!!

I think I would have probably thought the same thing, that if you order a lock it would come with keys. This would be the first example I've heard of where a key doesn't come with a lock... (Mental note to self always check for keys I guess...) Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Mid bunk insulation

Thank you, there's quite a few more projects to come! I definitely have to say this Bighorn was the best purchase, we absolutely love this RV! After owning two Heartlands we're sold, the various layouts, price points and quality are really good. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Mid bunk insulation

It's been about 80 degrees outside so far this year and I noticed the mid bunk area was really hot just as it was really cold this past winter. I've been entertaining AC upgrades even though we have two 15K BTU units and it's still a thought but anyways I crawled under there and took a look and...

    Installing a water transfer pump

Awesome, I definitely appreciate all the replies! Hockster: I like the permanent solution you setup on yours, that might be the route I wind up going. I have a few surflo pumps laying around that need a couple cheap fixes to be back to new I just haven't gotten around to fixing them yet (5...

    Installing a water transfer pump

When you use the 12v pump like that do you switch the anderson valve to the fresh water tank fill position? I would assume yes but I'm just double checking. Also what size 12v pump are you using? Mine is a 290 gallon per hour pump with I think a 40 foot lift if I remember correctly. Sent...

    Installing a water transfer pump

I thought about the more powerful pump and was hoping to stay away from that route because it would have to go from 12V to 120V not that we boondock much I guess though, so wouldn't be too big of deal other than having to go get one. I didn't think about splicing into the PEX, that might be a...

    Installing a water transfer pump

So I'm in the process of trying to figure out a way to fill up the fresh water tank on our Big horn without needing to be hooked up to a city water connection to do so and instead be able to fill up the fresh water tank by pumping water into it from a water bladder. Our Mallard was easy because...

    Coroplast

I haven't replaced one per say but we did have a Palomino Thoroughbred that didn't have an underbelly and I used flat sheets of thin aircraft aluminum to add an underbelly cover, it was fairly cheap, impervious to everything and weighed hardly anything. I've actually been thinking about doing...
