    Heated Fresh Water Hose . . .

I made my own this year using heat tape and insulation (insulation, vapor barrier, and an outer wrap). It wasn't too long into the job that I wished I had bought one instead. It took me four hours to do a 25 foot hose, but it works.

    SOLVED: 3055RL electrical problem

Re: 3055RL electrical problem Since you mentioned the outlets are in a slide, I would check the junction box outside under the slide. Turn off power and pull the cover, then check each wire nut connection. Apply electrical tape after retightening the wire nuts.

SOLVED: Trying to Find Junction Box

I have ONE of the outside electrical outlets not working. Here is what I've done so far: 1. Pulled the outside outlet and checked the wire connections with a meter--they're good. 2. Followed the wire from the outside outlet to the inside. It flows from the wall to under the dresser then outside...

I'm a big fan of the Bilsteins they've outlasted the OEMs and the Monroes on our Landmark. IMO I believe Erika's Bilsteins failed because of a faulty install.

    SOLVED - Inverter GFI Issue

Re: Inverter GFI Issue It could be the brand of GFCI the inverter company is using. I know some brands of GFCI's are terrible and cause problems. - - - Updated - - - My layman theory is that the brand of GFCI the inverter company is using cannot handle a motor's inductive load and trips.

    SOLVED - Inverter GFI Issue

Re: Inverter GFI Issue A refrigerator has an inductive load that can trip GFCI's and this seems to be a classic example of this phenomenon. Without an experienced electrician installing a snubber, the only way to prevent this problem is to plug the fridge into a non-GFCI.

    Furnace smell

A couple of questions: 1. Does the motor fan continue to run after the furnace flame as quit so to cool the heat exchanger down? It should run for about 1-2 minutes. 2. How forceful is the air coming out of the vents? I know this is a tough question, but I wonder how fast the motor is running...

    Furnace smell

Erika, I re-looked at my old furnace and mine is not discolored like the top left of yours. It definitely looks like it's overheating in that area of the heat exchanger. Not sure why it would overheat in just that area, but it is right after combustion. Here's some interesting reading...Link

    Furnace Blower Vanes Broken

Re: Melted Furnace Seal--Why? Well, it started when I called for a mobile mechanic and the soonest I could get help was 30 Nov. The cost would have been $80 service fee and $90 per hour--I figured his repair would have cost me at least $400. That inspired me to take the unit out and...

    Furnace Blower Vanes Broken

Re: Melted Furnace Seal--Why? Well, I just changed out the whole furnace. The hardest job is disconnecting and reconnecting the ducts. The new one is quieter, more heat, and the circuit board location has changed slightly. I believe the quietness and increased heat is related to a whole...

    Furnace Blower Vanes Broken

    Furnace Blower Vanes Broken

Re: Melted Furnace Seal--Why? Yes, there are a total of eight screws that you'll have to remove. Four that hold the housing, two hold a panel over the housing (that the circuit board is attached to) and two that hold another plate attached to the housing. Very easy.

    Furnace Blower Vanes Broken
