    Heartland Touts New PDI Initiatives

100% agree across the board. My wife and I have now spent a miserable first-sixty-days in a new 2019 Bighorn. We were completely sold on a level of quality construction from Heartland and were anxious beyond words to get into this one and hit the full-time road. The issues that have caused us...

Bighorn Battery Access — Not so easy!

Great thought, and I'm glad it works for some. Wish it would for me. It is impossible to check the battery water levels in my Bighorn without disconnecting cables. It is not possible to get the cover out of the way enough otherwise. I share the OPs frustration with this. Horrible design for...

Res Fridge On Slide Pushing Kitchen Island On Close

No, it doesn't need much but it does push on the island and cause it to tilt it ever so slightly. Moving the countertop should be a great solution. You touched a nerve. :) We have been in this 5W two months as of yesterday. We were so pumped on buying a Heartland unit and especially the...

No Port For Solar On The Side

No such luck. With all power on, the pigtail reads 13.2 converter voltage. With shore power off, it reads 12.5 battery voltage. With disconnect off, no voltage on it. So, it's basically just 12v battery power hanging there. Could be handy though.

Res Fridge On Slide Pushing Kitchen Island On Close

Having a head-slap moment here, John. Never gave thought to checking out the mounting of the counter top. That's a potential answer assuming the sinks can move accordingly. Have to get a look under it. I don't need but a couple inches and there's eight inches all around the cabinet. Many thanks...

Res Fridge On Slide Pushing Kitchen Island On Close

I have an issue with our 2019 Bighorn 3925MLP wherein when the large slide closes, its Resi fridge presses up against the kitchen island counter top. The door handles on the fridge are taking the pressure and are already marred. The pressure is enough to actually cause the island cabinetry to...

No Port For Solar On The Side

Thanks, Dan. Yes, that's exactly what I'm counting on to be the case. In which case I could easily put the connector back on the side- or somewhere.

No Port For Solar On The Side

Here ya go... And that's not lightweight wiring either. Pretty hefty stuff. - - - Updated - - - And here's a pic of the little charge controller in the bay. About the same gauge wire as that empty pigtail. Makes me wonder. This controller is obviously attached to the tiny panel on the roof-...

No Port For Solar On The Side

Yes, I do have a small panel on the roof- appears to literally be glued down. Sounds like you are confirming what I've suspected that it takes the place of a solar port on the side of the 5W- which eliminates the quick-connect for a larger portable solar panel. What I'm also curious of is a...

No Port For Solar On The Side

Wow. Not sure I get that. But I have no such situation. I have the typical sticker on the right side front of the 5W indicating the port is installed. I also have a PWM Charge Controller showing 13.2 volts on it. Not sure what it's connected to if not the tiny little solar panel glued to the...

No Port For Solar On The Side

That's where I've read it should be. Only thing I have next to the landing legs switch is a vent from the batteries.

No Port For Solar On The Side

We're in our third month in our 2019 Bighorn 3925MLP 5W. It has the GoPower Solar On The Side sticker on the side but the actual port to plug in has been completely illusive. Everything I have read says this port should, literally, be on the side of the RV. It is nowhere to be found ANYWHERE...

    Heated underbelly

I got you. I don't have any water line exposed to outside air. The 1/4" line comes into the fridge connections from the side, not from below. Comes through the wall from behind the stove inside the RV. It's in heated space all the way to the back of the fridge- I've discovered. Consequently, I...

    Heated underbelly

I'm trying to imagine what you refer to as "push on" valves. Brain dead here, I expect. Yeah, after the exercise yesterday I'm heading toward a mod or two on that fridge backside. Too much headache/hassle for a quick securing of that water line. I'm new in this unit so I'm still discovering...

    Heated underbelly

Much obliged for the reference. Will do. I noted the owner-written guides and am looking forward to exploring. I've lost count of the systems on this rig for which I have already sought documentation, reference materials, etc., and have none. Looking forward.

    Heated underbelly

Thanks Dan. Found it. I was letting the island kitchen fool me in my haste, I guess, because it wasn't "next/nearby" the fridge. ...Bill

    Heated underbelly

Brand new to the forum- first time poster. We're in a new 2019 Bighorn 3925MLP and getting unexpectedly COLD. I'm concerned about this line. I have not yet found its cutoff. Can anyone point me, possibly. Scurrying to get this drained! Regards, ...Bill
