    Fireplace Electrical Outlet Malfunction

My repair facility found and corrected the problem in the junction box outside and under the fireplace slide. Just two loose wires as jimtoo had suspected. Thanks again for all of your suggestions!

    Fireplace Electrical Outlet Malfunction

I checked the wiring harnesses under the fireplace slideout and could not see any obvious problems. I don't have the knowledge or ability to check any further. I'll take it in for repairs when we get home from this road trip. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

    Fireplace Electrical Outlet Malfunction

I greatly appreciate all your help because I was finally able to get the receptacle out and easier than I feared. However, all three wires appeared to be securely connected so I put it back together. Any other suggestions?

    Fireplace Electrical Outlet Malfunction

I had used the extension cord and the fireplace worked from the different receptacle. I had also tried turning the breaker off and on. I tried that again this morning, but nothing. I would like to try your suggestion but I can't figure out how to get the cover off. It doesn't have the two...

    Fireplace Electrical Outlet Malfunction

The outlet is not putting out any juice. All the others seem to be working fine. The GFI plug is working properly and the circuit breaker has not tripped. I guess it could be the fuse, but I don't know what a bad fuse would look like. I ran a search on the forum, but did not find any...

    Bedroom TV cabinet

I thought about moving the switch, but not for too long. I don't know one end of a screw driver from the other. I also wanted an ac/dc television in this spot. I bought a 15" Skyworth LCD television/monitor with built in DVD player. My wife is not impressed by the picture quality or the...

    Bedroom TV cabinet

When we bought our 2007 Bighorn 3055RL we made a bad mistake about the bedroom television. We bought the biggest we could fit in the space and the dealer installed it at no charge. Sounds good until the first time we used it. The antenna booster switch was behind and along side the tv. There...

    Dometic Refrigerator Recall

My refrigerator is also on the recall list. However, the repair man said he called Dometic and they won't authorize any fix until the notices are mailed out and they had not yet been mailed. But some of you have already had done. Something is not right, but I don't know what to do about it.

    Using the furnace at altitude

We have not had our Big Horn in the Rockies yet, but will in early September. We had our small Fleetwood at the same park, 9000 feet, more than once. The furnace and hot water heater worked fine with no adjustments.

    good rv parks in philly

The wife and I will be visiting Philadelphia in mid-October and have made reservations at the Philadelphia/Westchester KOA in Westchester. I can't remember if we found it using the KOA Directory or using the Good Sam Trip Planner program. If you happen to see it or stay there in June please...

    Wind Whistling through the windows...

I had a similar problem with my port side crank out dining room window. Upon closer inspection I noticed that it just did not close in a snug manner. I push on it from outside and it properly seated itself and the wind whistles were gone.

    New Posts Question

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed so I have to ask. The portal shows there are X amount of new posts, 29, for example, a few minutes ago. But when I click on new posts I find only 19. Where are the other ten? The amount of new posts listed seldom, if ever, matches those actually shown...

    Arkansas State Parks

We will be coming back through that area in Sep-Oct of this year and that would be a good place to stop and rest for a couple days. However, I could not find any camping at Petit Jean SP. I searched using Reserve America and the Good Sam routing/camping program. Still nothing. Would you be...

    Is your floor like mine?

Mine does the same thing in what seems like the same area. But my wife and I don't call it a flex, we call it a squeak in the floor. My wife will put up with it for a while then insist I get it repaired. The same thing happened on our little Fleetwood travel trailer and it was quite expensive...

    Bike Rack of Ladder...?

There are many opinions and comments about bike racks in the forum, just run a search. I finally used the ladder mounted rack this weekend for a short outing. It worked just fine for our two mountain bikes. But, again, it was only a short trip, about 35 miles each way, over very smooth roads.

Is Published Length of 3055RL Correct?

The wife and I had a concern about the length of the Bighorn when we were shopping. We wanted to make sure it would fit along side our house. We took a tape measure to the dealer and measured it stem to stern. It was the right fit, and, I think, the numbers were very near those stated in the...

    Fall Colors in New England

The wife and I are planning to take the Big Horn to New England to see the fall colors in late September, early October of this year. We sure would like some advice from those of you who live in New England or have made a similar trip. We have gotten a lot of information from different web...

    Bike racks

Ladder Bike Rack Update I connected the ladder mounted bike rack today in preparation for a trip to Sacramento tomorrow. The handle bar on the inside bike was right against the rear cap on my Big Horn. I flipped it over, but that made it worse with the pedal against the cap. I strapped the...

    Fresh water tank

    Freshwater tank drain

I once partially drained the fresh water tank on my 2007 Big Horn 3055RL. If I remember correctly I simply aligned the valves in the port side connections dock in accordance with the instructions on the label next to the valves and turned on the water pump. The water ran out the end of a...

PLEASE redesign the closet door latch

Has anyone stayed in a Las Vegas RV park?

    Exterior Scrape Repair

I have a hand size scrape perhaps a 1/32" or less deep on the outside of my bedroom slide, probably caused by the attack of a crazed tree branch. I checked my local auto parts store, but nothing jumped out at me, unlike the tree branch, as being suitable for this repair. Does anyone know of a...

    Closet Mirrored Doors

We recently had to have one of the sliding mirrored closet doors replaced. This weekend was the first time we had the Big Horn out since the replacement. My wife quickly noticed that one of the doors was larger (about 27") than the other (the inside door, about 23") and the "seam" was no...

Bedroom slide headboard shelf / storage ?

We had to have the king size bed, but, like you, I really missed a night stand on which to put my glasses and book before going to sleep. Motion Operated Night Lights

We like our bedroom dark when we sleep. When we go in the bathroom or down the stairs we don't want to wake each other turning on all kinds of lights. We didn't want a full time night light. We found a great solution with Ecopa Nicera model SL603 battery powered motion sensing lights. They...
