I made an aluminum plate, used a 3M glue ( cant remember the #) seems like a 5 ???#. Was a marine glue. Screwed the plate to the door and re-installed the door strut. Been good for many years.
Have you called HL service? If not, do it ASAP. Ask if their is any service center is in your area that can do a proper repair. If you are close to the plant...ask if you can take it their for repair.
Did you have to pay for the landing gear?? Inspecting and re per HLsealing windows and other things are required every 6 months. The roof...did you call HL service and discuss the issue with them??
The switch Ted is refering to might have a cotter pin in it. It should be a black rocker switch. Always make sure the tank is full of water before you turn on the 120V switch.
Gary, big rig engines are rated by gallons per hour at a certain RPM. Loaded or empty they all get about the same MPG. Well at least every one I ever owned/drove.
Why don't you have the dealer check and adjust the brakes?? What is the build date of your unit?? My BH does the same thing after it sets for long periods of time. Its normal for brake drums to rust when not in use. Pull some drums off a car that has been setting...same thing. Rusty drums are...
One other issue you might have is.............getting it into a non-TH'er entry door. Better take some measurements on width, height etc. You know the weight already.
Bob, yes you need to make you reservations for extra night though the CG yourself. Do it early....like now, if you want the same site #. Trust me....I know how the CG works and loads up all year long.
Gov. "Moon beam" strikes again. The money will never fix a single foot of road or bridge. The working people have to pay for the ones that don't want to.
Re: Bent and cracked frame
Good grief, how much heat could welding on a spring hanger create? Was the guy using a gas torch?? You would have thought that Lippert had come into the 21st century by now. Mig and Tig welding has been around for many years. I think a 3160 has a 12" frame.... and to...
I agree with Dan. I would go to your local DMV and do some research with you VIN#. Do you have a clear title...doesn't say "salvage" does i BTW, is the silicone repair at a factory installed seam or in an odd place? Normally, the roofs are all one piece front to rear and side to side and only...
I have auto leveling air bags, so my answer would be mute. Works great. Hook up...lower 5er...compressor comes on and levels truck. Unhooking...as soon as the landing gear starts to lift the 5er....the air bleeds out of the bags. Works for me.
Bill, put Pat and I in A-13.
Also and not butting into your Chapter leader-ness...but when anyone asks for sites A 18-22...ya better find out how long their rig is. OR make sure they are able to back in REALLY well. A 20 and A 22 right are on a very tight corner across from the bathrooms. Just...
Jim, thank you for your kind words. We had fun doing rallies. But, it was time because of all the work needed on the new to us home. We felt we could not give the time needed to do rallies.
Art, yes we will see you at rallies in the future.
Sorry about your issue, but what does HL have to do with getting it repaired? HL has nothing to do with what a dealer does. RV dealers are not controlled by a RV manufacturer like car dealers are. The torn roof was not caused by HL. Call HL back and see if they can find you an independent RV...
Water pumps are like anything. " If it will drive around the block...it will go a million miles" or maybe not. If you do leave some water in the tank....add some bleach to the water. This way you can run the water/bleach through all the lines to sanitize them after setting in storage. JMHO
If you have 120V plug in the UCD...you can put a 60W light bulb in the UCD and it will help with freezing. Question, are your low point drains blue and red? You also have a fresh water tank drain that is normally near the wheels on the left side...sometimes in front of the wheels. BTW, I thought...
Never heard of this. Personally I can't see how a gray tank could fill itself. There are no water lines going to them...just sink/shower drains and dump valves.
To all Socal members and others who attended the rally. Pat and I want to thank all of you for making it the best rally ever. Our 1st rally in 2008, we had 5 coaches attend, it rained the whole time but we had a blast. From that point on, the numbers grew every rally rain or shine. We have met...
Re: ATF: Bighorn - Water Leak
One point about the black tank flush. Never use high water pressure to do it. Only flush with a pressure regulator in line. Don't ask how I know.
Make sure your trailer sets level and be sure your WDH is adjusted properly. Always load heavy things towards the front. Make sure you TV is rated for the trailer weight.
