I don't know about Dometic refrigerators, but I do know that the Suburban manual specifically states not to use a hair dryer while defrosting.

    How Long for Factory Order?

The wait is not only the assembly time, but also the delivery time. There is a severe shortage of drivers to deliver the units. I was recently in Elkhart, IN, every manufacturer has a considerable number of units sitting, waiting to be delivered.

    Fantastic Fan with Rain Sensor

Fantastic Fan provides packets of Aerospace 300 to lubricate the seal for the cover. I'd just go buy a spray bottle of it, you will find many more uses for it around your RV.

    Ford DEF - usage

On my 2012 F350, mine reads different than yours. Under Settings, I have no reference to DEF at all. If I go to Settings, Vehicle and then scroll down to DTE (distance to empty), it gives me the option of Normal History Used or Towing History Used. Their is no reference to DEF at all. Actually...

    Power converter

I'd go with a Progressive Dynamics Convertor with the Charge Wizard. You're batteries will last a lot longer and you won't have to add water as often. PD manufactures quality units in Marshall, MI.

    Water pump

If you've been using fresh water directly from a hose into your unit, you have to change the position of the three way switch in the UDC, to be able to pump water.

    Ford F-250/350 or Ram 2500/3500

All of the Big 3 make good trucks today. If you haven't owned a heavy duty diesel pick up before you should look at all three. You have to determine what you're requirements will be. Also, the features offered should help you qualify vehicles. Based on my ownership of a Ford F350, Powerstroke...

    Allstays App

Mike, I apologize. Yes that is the correct app. I forgot that I had paid for it. I've had it for awhile and very rarely pay for apps so I just typed in free without looking it up. It is worth the $3.99.

    Versa Free Standing Dinette

Well, I finally figured the table quandary out on our last trip. It helps to read the brochure that was included in the storage area of the table. The table top not only rotates on the pedestal, it also slides in the long direction. Slide it over on the pedestal and then rotate. No clearance...

    Alaska

Definetly take your time through Canada. That way you'll get better fuel mileage. Diesel or gas is sold by the liter and is more expensive than in the states. You'll also be going in and out of Canada more than once.

    Water Heater

I believe the part you are describing is a check valve. Quite a few people have had a problem with the check valve leaking. Do a search for plastic check valve and you should gain some information. Most people replace them with a brass check valve.

Fresh water tank, how do you fill it?

Well, based on your post that I could gravity fill my tank "NASCAR" style, I fabricated a funnel from 3" PVC and reducing down to 1" with a male hose coupling to attach to my fresh water fill. It doesn't work. The check valve (actually looks like a check flap) I can open it by pushing with a...

Fresh water tank, how do you fill it?

I'm looking for an answer to the OP's question also. When boondocking and there is no where to hook up a hose how do you fill the tank? On my previous unit, to fill the tank from a pressurized source, you just stuck the end of the hose in and let it fill. Since this was just an open line to the...

    Versa Free Standing Dinette

I thought the purpose of the Versa Free Standing Dinette is that you could rotate the table from the long dimension of the table being perpendicular with the length of the coach to the long dimension of the table being parallel with the length of the coach. When I attempt to rotate the table the...

    New Heartland coaches

We have a 2014 BC with the Bourdeaux finished cabinets. While we were waiting for our unit to be built and delivered, my wife was lamenting how she wasn't going to like the cabinets. The first time she stepped in, she felt that it gave the interior a very rich feeling. We both really like the...
