2015 Cyclone 4100 Steps falling apart.

Mine also didn't fall within the VIN numbers for the recall. That's why I didn't receive a recall notification, so the Heartland Rep told me on the phone when I called. Bet Heartland will be expanding the recall.

Hitches are Heavy - How to Routinely Install/Remove????

B&W High Rise Companion hitch (225 lbs.) that sits in the hole where the ball for a gooseneck would fit. 2 people would fight forever trying to get it to lift out of the hole. After about the third time having to remove it. Decided to work smarter not harder. Had a 2 wheel dolly handy. Rolled it...

CY 3010 Bedroom Slideout Window Seal

Walking around the rig checking things out on my last trip out and ran across the exterior window seal on our 3010 being pulled loose when we extended the slide out the last time. I grabbed a ladder and put it back in, but when we got home, it had done it again. Anyone have this happen to them...

2015 Cyclone 4100 Steps falling apart.

Contacted Heartland, was given the choice to take it in for repair or they would send me the repair kit. Choose the repair kit. Really don't want to be waiting on the 5er for 3 weeks. FYI - was told that it is the top 2 steps that will need the rivets replaced. Drill out rivets and replace with...

2015 Cyclone 4100 Steps falling apart.

Interesting, The top rt side step of our CY 3010 lost its rivet this weekend. My wife was coming out and almost fell. Guess I will be calling Heartland tomorrow for whatever the fix is supposed to be.

    Any need for kingpin support???

Our CY 3010 is 36' long with 6 point level up and we use the tripod jack on our king pin. It does take the side to side sway out when we are moving around in the trailer. We don't go anywhere without ours.

    2015 Cyclone 3010 Garage AC

No return call from ExplorerUSA yet. But the A/C is fixed. Dropped it Tuesday at a Horse Trailer Manufacture who is a Dometic Warranty Repair center. They called today and said it was ready for pick up. Now that is service. Loading tonight to head out for another 3 day weekend with our son. Life...

    2015 Cyclone 3010 Garage AC

Well, after examining the unit, I believe it has lost its charge. Don't see any oil inside the roof case, but the lines are just barely cool where they should be cold and the ones that should be almost too hot to touch are just warm. Exhaust air through the condenser coils is barely above...

    2015 Cyclone 3010 Garage AC

Just got back from a 4 day trip and didn't thing our 3010 was cooling as well as I thought it should. Today I lowered the garage bed and flipped open the outlet next to the intake and ran both units for 10 minutes before I checked the output. Outside temp is around 85 degrees. When I stepped...

2015 CY 3010 Living room slide out table legs

We have decided that the Table in front of the living room slide out is about 1.5 to inches too tall when we sit on the couch. Our plates are around the middle of our chest, just very uncomfortable. The poles have plastic end caps that fit into the floor and table receptacles. Anyone know if I...

    Cyclone 3010 or Fuzion 325

No slide out on the door side was a major requirement for us as well and Yes, the Fusion 325 does have a larger garage. However, the loft over the garage lowered the ceiling far enough back that I was not able to fit a lifted golf cart in without removing the roof and windshield assembly on the...

    Cyclone 3010 Mods

To be honest, easiest thing I have done on the RV to date. Everything unscrews and fastens right back. No problems what so ever.

    Cyclone 3010 Mods

Wound up using a bar faucet from Home depot to get the water far enough out where we wanted it. I don't see the exact faucet, but this one is similar to what we got. Except we got the brushed nickel and not polished chrome...

Problems getting into RV Parks/Campgrounds with the size of 4200?

May I suggest one thing if you are having to park after dark. (Recently had this happen to us, traffic and didn't get where we were going till late) Get out and look around, go inside and turn on the rear ramp lights and drivers side and off drivers side exterior lights. It gave my spotter more...

Almost ready to pull the trigger on a CY4000

In other words. DON'T accept TowMax tires. Have them replace them with Goodyear or Carlisle or what ever you prefer. Cause you will be replacing them somewhere soon down the road.

Atwood Plastic Water heater drain plug

I read somewhere in this forum to NOT replace the plastic drain plug on an Atwood with a Brass plug. Didn't say why. About 3 months ago, I rounded the corners of the plastic plug trying to get it off. So I ran down to the hardware store with the plastic plug and matched the threads and diameter...

    Cyclone 4100 garage thermostat

It has been my experience so far, that it doesn't work very efficiently. A ceramic or forced heat fan works a lot better.

    Cyclone 3010 Mods

OK, I pulled the 2 screws holding the box next to the toilet. Seems that the is actually recessed into the wall. To remove it, looks like I will have to pull the toilet as it bumps up against it before it clears the wall. Not prepared to do that at this time. Anyone know what it is covering up...

    Fantastic Vent Model 2250

Its a long story, but this is one that was installed on my old TH when I had the roof replaced, but it didn't have the powered opening on it. I pitched a fit about the loss of capability. They removed this one and put the correct one on. Gave me the fan for the inconvenience, but I apparently...

    Fantastic Vent Model 2250

I have a Fantastic Vent that I want to install in the Bathroom to help remove the humidity from the bathroom when we shower. Before I installed it, I pulled the interior trim from the current vent and tried to fit it onto the Fantastic vent. It doesn't fit like the OEM vent. This trim covers the...

    Cyclone 3010 Mods

Here are a couple of mods I have done for our Cyclone 3010. Really pretty simple ones. But I am amazed at how simple little changes make a world of difference. The first was just adding a plug under the top kitchen cabinets. The only outlet was on the wall in front of the sink. This allowed us to...

    Cyclone 3010 Garage

Using the Chrome-plated chocks that I had in my old TH. Used them for 10 years with no issue. My only expense is to purchase the mounting hardware. Like the Condor system. But money is tight. Saw these at R.O.T. bike rally in Austin a few years back. Your correct, a lot expensive. But supports...

    Cyclone 3010 Garage

Have been measuring, planning and looking underneath the TH for installation of pingel wheel chocks for 2 motorcycles. Plan is to place the chocks between the front tie downs points so that the straps are pulling the motorcycle forward into the chocks. In some pictures, I have seen the rear...

    Tire Pressure Monitors

Had the opportunity to pull the TH with TPMs on the trailer and the rear truck tires. Only pulled it 25 miles, but in that time. The TH tires rose 10 PSI and about 12 degrees while the truck tires rose 4 PSI and about 5 to 8 degrees temperature. I would have thought the truck tires would have...

    And so it begins

Interesting in the use factor of the rear door as a patio. We really wanted the railings and setup for our rear door when we were working out the deal for our 2015 CY3010. But it was a little over $1000 for the awning, rails and cabling. Got to thinking of all the places that we had been with...

Cyclone 4100 gray tanks? Black tanks?

I actually peeled the labels off the outside of our 3010 and placed them back down over the respective handles inside. Has worked out well so far. Once I figured out which one was what.

Cyclone 3010 Bedroom A/C Thermostat Location

Who ever decided that putting the A/C thermostat on the bottom of the over head cabinets in the garage was a good idea, wasn't 6'1". I am sure it was done that way for ease of installation. But it is a real pain in the neck to stoop down and try to look up at it. Last weekend was the first time...

We had the same issue with ours when we got it. Took some WD 40 and put a small squirt into the lock. Has slid right in and out with no issues since.

ATF: Cyclone - No heat to garage

Has anyone gone ahead and insulated the floor of their TH? Curious how much that may help with the temperature swings you get without insulation? I guess the next question is, are the walls insulated the same as the walls prior to the garage?

    Tire Pressure Monitors

Fortunately or Unfortunately, depending on your perspective, I have a single wheel, not a dually. So, for now I will have 4 on the TH and 2 on the rear of the TV. Funny thing, wife saw where I had ordered them and got upset that I was spending money. She asked me, do we absolutely have to have...

    Tire Pressure Monitors

Placed an order today for the TST 507 RV non flow through system from Great RV Products (No shipping and no Tax made it the best deal. FYI They are on backorder). After experiencing a couple of tire failures on our old TH and saw what kind of damage that did. Figure it is pretty cheap insurance...
