Hey Jim & Julie, Ann and I have changed our arrival to the 8th instead of the 10th, I have made the proper reservations thru Bethpage for the additional days but was curious if I need to do anything on the rally registration site. I'm thinking not but just wanted to check. We decided we would...
Used Gorilla Glue after caulking the breaks in the fiberglass. Then I used almond caulk on the edges, this is the type that they use on the RV's at the factory, not regular almond silicone caulk that you would find at one of the major stores. The type the factory uses doesn't seem to mold or...
Should anyone of you have fiber glass damage as I did from road debris as I did on I-75 here's a way to fix it that is not only cost effective, but also looks good. The damage happened when we were headed N. on I-75 just south of Macon, GA and the 18 wheeler in front of us lost a mud flap, with...
Okay, all is well now. I bought a HD antenna and tripod, moved a HD receiver out of our bedroom in the house to the camper, put the standard receiver in the bedroom that was in the old camper. Found out the RG6 cable I was using from the receiver to the jack in the cabinet was bad, replaced it...
Re: Urbanna Rally Registration Begins this Week!
Yea!!!!! Ann and I are so excited, we had to miss last years rally due to Miss Ann's health issues and we hated it. But, 2014 is looking great and we can't wait to attend a rally with our new BC Woooooooo Hoooooooo! Our first rally will be the...
Hey Hogan, put Ann and I down we won't be able to arrive until Friday, but would like to stay and not leave until Monday. Then we're going just a short trip over to a place called Paradise Island to camp and visit with my Brother-in-Law and his Sister for a few days.
Word of advice some of you may already know about this if you have read Jim Gratz article concerning installing slide toppers yourself. Jim stated that when ordering your slide toppers make sure the parts person also orders the "awning rail" if this is a new install. The "awning rail" is the...
Well it's amazing what you can learn when you read "all" of the owners manual. The Toshiba owners manual states "satellite users will need to use a HD receiver to work with this tv", so I guess it is time to make the switch from the old standard dish to Hi-Def.
I may when we get home switch to HD for the camper also, we have in the house. I've always stayed with the old standard signal because it is just easier to set up.
Hey guys, the Directv receiver is for the old "standard" signal it is not HD thus there is not a HDMI access for this receiver. I traced all the RCA cables and they all appear to be plugged into the correct locations. This coach is new we just got it 3 weeks ago and this is our first trip out...
I can't seem to get a satellite signal no matter what I try, plus when I turn on the TV and choose the input for the satellite the Directv menu picture is not the normal blue background with white letters but rather it is all in blacks and grays with vertical lines in it. As far as the picture...
Hey Phil, Ann and I are registered to arrive on the 11th, and leave on the 15th. And, as instructed by Miss Santha I have us in the site next door to her and Randy, we're in site #53. Our HOC # is 1158. See ya there!!!!!
Hey Randy, I finally got around to making our reservation, we will arrive on the 13th leave on the 17th and will be in site 408, right next door to Phil's new rig!!!!! See Y'all there.
We bought ours from smallappliances.com 5 years ago. Have had one issue with it where the sensor that shuts it off when the bin is full had to be replaced. They were really good, they sent the part no charge along with e-mailing me full instructions with photos on how to replace it. We like...
Hey "Dee", I found this fireplace on ebay great price $149 and after corresponding with the seller it appears this will fit perfectly. Here's the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/321272243705?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I'm hoping what Heartland is now using will fit, I can if necessary build some trim to fit around it if it's a little smaller than the opening. The opening in the cabinet is 26½"w X 23"h, and as best I can tell 8" deep would be the max depth for the unit to fit in the existing cabinet...
Dee, we have a similar situation. We have the same year and model coach as you and it had the fireplace but we had the dealer take it out in 2007 before we purchased the coach and put a shelf in that cabinet with doors. Now we have decided that we want the fireplace, Heartland tells me they...
Miss Ann and I will partake in the pizza fest, not really picky about what's on it as long as it's edible, (with the exception of those little fishy things).
Hey Lance, Miss Ann finally got thru to the folks in the office and now has our site number changed from #50 to #37, we are now taking over the site Larry & Sam had.
Hey Lance, we got the reservation made today, we will be on site #50. "Da Check is in Da Mail" for the T-shirts. Remove us from the pontoon boat list, as I said Miss Ann doesn't much care about boat rides.
Hey Lance, if there is room for us count Miss Ann and I in. I'm going to call today and make reservations, but I have to wait until Miss Ann wakes up from her nap. I plan to arrive on the 31st but that's her Birthday and don't know if she wants to travel on her B'day so maybe we'll arrive on...
Problem solved!!!!! I remembered a trick that I was told about a few years back, and that is to mix 1/2 cup of "Dishwasher Gel" in one gallon of hot water to ensure it disolves good. Dump this down the toilet with an additional 10 gallons of water. Do this just prior to heading down the road...
Yep did the water hose thing down the vent already, all was clear. Did the back flush also numerous times and that didn't seem to make a lot of difference. However, I did get a lot of "stuff" coming thru during the back flush. Can't believe it's the vent pipe being to low in the tank since we...
Hi All, been having a problem with our black water tank. The toilet keeps "burping" a big air bubble back when flushed. This does not happen after I have dumped, but just a day or so and it starts and I know the tank can not be full already. I went on the roof and ran a hose down the vent...
I used to live in Viola, my Dad and I had a small cabinet shop from 1969 to around 1972. We'll see ya at the rally, be interesting to hear how things have changed.
Randy, here's what Miss Ann says we will bring; Potluck - Corn Casserole, and Yellow Cake, Brunch - Yummy Biscuits & Honey, Cookout - Miss Ann's "World Famous" Potato Salad! See y'all there, we are sooooo excited to be "on the road again"!!!!!
I have a friend who has that system on the back of a SOB 5er and he swears by it, says it's great for hauling his Harley. His was mounted using 3 receiver hitch tubes. The only concern I had and he had not experienced it is what if you went thru a deep gutter and up a sharp incline would that...
Hey Byrd, I've got the info on the cost and where to send the check for the Playhouse, if you send me info on the T-shirts I include that payment also.
While we hate it that y'all had to cancel, we're glad at the same time that we were able to get into the rally. Now that Miss Ann's medical issues are almost totally a thing of the past, we are ready to get back on the road. We know how it is to have to cancel, since we had to cancel for the...
Yeah, we got in they just had a cancellation, Byrd heard about it called me then I called Pat and we're in for site #46 arriving on the 4th. This means Ann and I are going to start getting our HOC rally fix going straight from the GA chapter rally to the TN/KY chapter rally. We are soooooo...
I'm not sure of the location of all the equipment on the Elkridge, but on our Bighorn the water heater is just to the right of the UDC. I would empty the storage area and remove the access panels on the inside that would allow you to see back in that area. We had a small leak due to loose...
To all our Heartland family folks, Ann and I are finally going to be able to make a camping trip now that she has pretty much recovered from both her major surgeries this year. So, any of y'all who might be in the vicinity of Royston, GA on the first weekend of August come on and join us, and...
Here's something else you might check? I have had a problem in the past ever since they installed the hydraulic landing gear at Lippert back in 2011, the connection for the main power to the hydraulic pump kept getting loose, once this happened it caused some sort of short activity that would...
