    LED under carriage lights

I picked up the idea here and replaced the one feeble running light (step light) with 5 blue truck LED side markers. Found them on eBay for less than $6. Thought it might take me days drilling holes in the I beam frame, not bad at all, 1/8" pilot hole and then larger screw holes. had no...

    Oh Hail!

Very scary stuff, right there, for those not accustom to hail! Traveling north a couple of years ago, got caught in hail in SC with my Durango. $1400. damage! DW was sure the windshield was going to come crashing in on us. Not fun!

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: FL, Navarre - 4/8/2016 to 4/10/2016

Waddled back to our rig after a GREAT fish fry & DTP. The desserts were to die for, AND I'm on a see food diet. THANK YOU Linda & Walt West for a great job hosting the Florida Chapter Rally this weekend. Was a wonderful experience for us newbies. Met some wonderful new friends (we didn't meet...

    Basement door leaking.....?

We've had our share of hard rain here in Central Florida, but I've been suspicious of water infiltration in this area since we purchased our used 2011 Greystone 32RL the end of September '16. Looking at the gasket, the corner had pulled away from the radius. I pulled it down, cleaned the area...

Completed 2500 watt Magnum Inverter/Charger mod

I'm tired just reading all the work you've done after a FULL days work. Awesome looking install. Seems you have the bases covered, knowing how much juice the unit draws when not in use etc. Being electronically challenged, I marvel at those that dive right in and get the job done. Good find via...

    Be attentive out there!

AND it can happen in a heart beat! I may well wear out my 4-way flashers, I try to alert those behind me of any sign of concern ahead. People (in general) tend to be clueless to their surroundings, and potential problems, I know I can't save the world, I just want to stay safe. (selfish I know)

    Added to my TV today

Curious about what Smokey has to say about blocked visibility thru your windshield. Maybe they have bigger fish to fry. NYS Troopers would be all over you there. Just sayin. Very cool idea, I'm just not smart enough to figure out how the data gets to the tablet. My TV is a '05 Ram w/Cummins 5.9L.

Dennyha - do you get the feeling that we're visual folks here? Me too. So I'll wait patiently for the pictures. Good luck with the rest of your install. Sounds like you're well on your way!

What did you do to your camper today?

Erika - thanks. Did not mention that the table might well be used for other things, but my wife is a quilter and spends half her time at one of her machines. This table is 42" long and 22" wide. It will not interfere with MY Euro recliner, nor other use of the area. It can be pushed back under...

What did you do to your camper today?

Just finished construction & installation of a hide away sewing work table for my bride. The leg/support has to be attached to the table, as the computer printer is located below the desk area. Since we will be near our kids in Ohio for the summer, she must have her small sewing machine...

    Backing into a site...

TXBobcat - thanks for sharing your experience with backing. Cool method. Nice campground with all the trees, judging how far out your off door slide would come, in relation to the tree limb, was a bonus, for sure. (well planned) Always marveled (as a young man - 55 years ago) at a trucking...

I worked in our rig yesterday...appreciate your kind reminder about leaving the slides out.............OH, wait a minute, it was 88° here in Florida! AND I didn't appreciate your nice pictures of all that white "stuff", but it was a reminder of how much I (don't) miss Upstate NY this time of...

    Solar Finished

SLO very nice install. I intensely dislike folks who do such nice work (hate is too strong a word)! The pictures ARE worth a 1000 words. Don't believe I'll ever venture in the solar direction, but that is a great installation. Enjoy!

    relocated batteries to side door?

John....you're a better man than I! "Installing and removing these 2 battery boxes is not easy and will get more difficult with each passing season." this statement is spot on, me being 74, and fairly active, it still hurts me all over, just to think about this project. I hope someone more...

    Check lists...

As stated before, you'll develop a routine for your rig in particular. I downloaded the Adventure Treks app to my Android phone and customized it to my liking. It has RV Departure, RV Arrival & setup and Camping Preparation. All can be customized easily. Go to your app store, and good luck.

Ordered and received the truck blue LED lights (special) from eBay, that I spotted here on this thread, for step lights. Went to the rig in storage about 4:30 yesterday (temp was 86° nice breeze), as I knew I'd be in the shade of another 5th wheel parked next to me. (lots of motorhomes & TT...

What batteries are these? No name

NOTE DATE OF POST 06-23-2014, 04:19 PM "Just received a pleasant surprise from Heartland factory tech. The subject batteries, at least in my unit, are from Exide. Do your search here. Lots of great thoughts and ideas. I've towed all sorts of trailers for 50 years. Just acquired our first 5th wheel. Sad is me

Grey Ghost We feel your pain. Ours is a 2011 Greystone 32RL, and it's my understanding that UV inhibitors were not added to the mix of things, and thus the fading problems. We bought this rig in NY state and are residents of FL, so the sun does shine down. Not looking forward to drastic...

OK, so when the water does back up and builds pressure..............you'll have a rubber bullet flying thru your rig. Sorry, couldn't resist. That seems odd that the factory would not cap that. Assume there is a drain vent to the exterior.

    CPAP Shelf

We have a 2011 Greystone 32RL, so I'm not familiar with your bedroom layout.....but how different can they be?
