If you Have to go to Sulphur, Ok,,,

I would highly recommend Arbuckle RV Resort. DH got a call to go to a job in Sulphur Wed am and we drove from San Antonio, arriving late at night. I had spoken to one of the owners, Jo that day and she told me they didn't have a spot for us permanently due to a group coming in but we could spend...

    Ongoing kitchen tap issue, help?

When we first got our BH, the kitchen tap squealed like a pig. We brought it back to the dealer a couple of weeks later but they couldn't/wouldn't/didn't find the problem. A couple of months ago, I went to turn on the faucet and no water came out. I thought it might just be an air trap so I...

Is Our Truck Enough For A Landmark

Could someone please pass the salt? I need to eat my words! I did misunderstand the many conversations I have had with DH so from now on I will only comment on things I KNOW about!! Sorry if I have added any confusion. Now, have I mentioned that I love my kitchen?? lol,,, sheepishly Lizzy

Is Our Truck Enough For A Landmark

We pull our Bighorn with our GMC 2500 HD, and STOP with no problem. We will end up with a Landmark and a bigger truck. Pin weight is the issue more than anything for us,,, duellys don't add to the pin weight capacity nor do some of the larger sounding trucks like a one ton.

    Gps ?

I love it for a few reasons,,, replying to Oldlthrneck here. One, instead of the touted 4-5 inch screen, I, the Navigator, gets to use my 17" screen. I can preplan routes and move their sequence up and down, delete them, add, etc and its so easy. "Midge" is pretty smart knowing when we go off...

What type of dishes, glass or plastic?

I have stoneware,,, pack it with rubber sheeting and loose in between the dishes in the cupboards and never had anything break. I also use that rubber stuff to leave all my appliances on the counter when we move around and nothing ever moves,,, watch for top heavy stuff though,,, Lizzy

    I don't get it.

From what I have read before, they changed up the slider mechanism, made it heavier duty which took up some space under the bed. We not only utilize the space underneath for DH's golf clubs but also use the space on top for extra blankets and some seldom used clothing,,, Lizzy

    Feeling Kind of Guilty....

Don't feel too bad. We went out for lunch and sat out on the patio listening to a local band. Himself ate bbq brisket and sausage, yours truly was snapping off crawfish heads. Time to put on the bathing suit and go for a dip now,,, so enjoy,,, Lizzy

Potential BigHorn Buyer with Many Questions!

    1. How does Bignorn stack up against "apples-to-apples" (pricewise) competitors such as Montana, etc.? I thought I wanted a BigSky Montana until I saw our Bighorn. I liked the whole feel of it better and love our kitchen. I would go to the Heartland site and check out all the features...

    Augusta-bedroom cabinets

Actually we have been fulltiming for a year ourselves and I am quite aware of the space needed and the difference between "need" and "want". We live in the 3670rl (same floor plan as the Augusta but more cupboard space) and I happen to like the extra space because I decorate cakes which...

    Update from Admin

It is my opinion that Heartland is very fortunate to have you. Ever since Himself and I joined this site I wondered why they hadn't snagged you up. If I suck up enough can you get us a really good deal on a Landmark in a couple of years? Congratulations Jim, you made my confidence in...

What a night!! What would you do?

We are staying in between Galveston and Houston right now and last night there was a 12 hour stretch of tornado watch. DH was working and they had everyone staying in "bunkers", over 600 people, out of the weather. When things got really bad, 50-60mph winds with horizontal rain and...

Mattress Question for Newer Model 3055RL Owners

We didnt order our BH so it came with the king size bed. My DH cut down the top of it and we stuck a regular queen size mattress on it. There is still a bit of extra bed frame below the mattress but it sure is an improvement. I don't know how to add pics on here but I took some if you want to...
