    Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

Considering the Tire Traker monitoring system vs the TST system. Have read the previous discussions and folks seem about split. Both seem to function the same and are priced about the same. Anything I may have missed?

    Batwing Replacement

I purchased The Jack antenna to replace the original batwing, but am having problems installing the booster on the correct coax cable. I have the Winegard rooftop satellite which seems to complicate the installation. I attached the booster to the cable marked antenna, but no luck. Anyone have...

Anyone try using a light bulb behind the UDC to keep the water pump and lines from freezing? What wattage bulb? Any cautions or advice would be appreciated.

The Ultimate Self Defense Weapon for the RV and Home

If anyone is considering buying one of those Kel Tec shotguns, you might want to do it sooner than later. If Senator Feinstein from CA. has her way, it will become illegal based on several of its features. She is introducing her new legislation in January.

Polish first with what, if not wax. What type of UV sealer are you referring to? First I've ever heard of wax causing paint to oxidize so I'm curious as to what you would recommend.

    Camping in the Rain!

Being from Seattle, you are probably no stranger to rain. We love the Tillamook area, but somehow I missed the County Smoker. Got it on my list for next time. We stayed at Nehalem Bay St. Park. Any idea how it compares to Cape Lookout? Thanks for the info.

AC + FURNACE RUNNING AT SAME TIME-2013 BIGHORN 3010re

When we first picked up our 3010RE, we turned the heat on and the A/C came on also. The service tech at the dealer said to turn the A/C temp to the max temp, 90* I think, then the furnance should work fine without the A/C coming on. And it did. Couldn't explain why the thermostat is set up that...

    Alison transmission

I've got one in my 2002 Chevy hooked up to the 8.1 liter. Had to replace the front seal and torque converter last year. Tried to find a tranny shop to fix it and they all said they had never had to fix one before. Ended up taking it to the dealer. Took two weeks to get parts from back east. Not...

Regular sat TV vs HD TV service

Hi Mobilcastle: I noticed you are from Ohio and since I grew up there, I checked your profile and was very surprized. I also am from Ravenna, but moved west, thanks to the USMC, a number of years ago. If you want, send me a PM and we can chat. Regarding your sat. dish, I would stay with a...

    Satellite Connections on Big Country

I would agree on trying the left most connector of each pair. It worked for me the first time with no problems. I also have a DVR in both the BR and front room. I can watch/record a program on one TV and watch/record a different program on the other. I had no problems or difficulty hooking...

    Shock Absorbers - necessary?

Sure would like to hear something from Heartland or Lippert on this issue of shocks and their method of installation. Surely they have some good reasons for all of this that might put this issue to rest. Well, then again, maybe not, but I would still like to hear what they have to say.

    2013 Outside motion light

On my 2013, the remote controls the light behind the stairs. As for the motion sensor light above the door, turn the switch on once and the light remains on. Flip the switch twice to on, and the light goes into sensor mode. Mine has a blinking light; green means batteries are good, red means...

    Level up trailer lifting

Since there are a lot of experienced "level up" folks here, thought I would ask a question. When leveling manually, I do front to rear first. Then using the 4 rear jacks, I lower them until they just touch the ground. If one side is low, I then raise those jacks until level. Is this the correct...

how to power my entertainment center from inverter

I tried plugging my 1100 watt inverter directly into the main power cord and it immediately showed overload on the inverter, even though I had all of the power draining appliances on propane. Not sure why it did that, unless running the inverter through the converter is not compatable. So now I...

    Bubbles in the Rubber Roof

I happened to notice several bubbles in the rubber roof membrane of my 2013 Bighorn. The largest is approx. 3x6 inches. Not sure whether to be concerned and have them repaired, if even possible, or just live with it. I don't want any unresolved issues to go past my one year warranty.

    Need Generator Opinion

I have a 2013 Bighorn #3010 which is prepped for the Onan gen. and one A/C. Debating between a Honda 3000is or a Onan 3600. I have all the specs. on both, so I'm just curious what others would do. I am a little concerned on LP consumption with the Onan at 0.6 gph., and the hassel of horsing...

    6 pt auto level system

I also have a the 2013 Bighorn #3010 with the combo washer/dryer. My level system will not level the trailer, even after it has been calibrated. 2013 Oregon Chapter Rally Discussion

Deb and I would love to be there, as this is where it all started for us, but we are currently planning on the national rally in Goshen. Me, myself, I would choose Winchester Bay over Goshen. Nothing against the national rally, it's the Indiana thing I have a problem with.

Hey Kristy: As I recall, you have the "6 point level up" system? If that's a yes, maybe Mark can show me how to use it at the rally. I've read the book and it still won't level the trailer. Also, looks like I will make the trip solo. Deb had a family emergency in Indiana and probably won't be...

    Mount St Helens

There is limited RV parking at the observatory and most of the rigs I saw were pull trailers in the mid 20' range. There are several gas stations just off I-5 at Toutle River that have large parking areas. I would ask if I could drop it for a few hours and enjoy the ride.

We are currently on a "shakedown trip" with the new 2013 Bighorn 3010 and have found very few problems or issues, other than my lack of understanding some of the new features.
