One more thing, get a good WD hitch not cheap $750 or so. Then have the truck trailer weighed. Not a truck stop scale. Get them weighed with folks who weigh RV's so you know how much each wheel is carrying. Having the truck and trailer look level to each other is only half the story.

Look at rear axle load capacity it's usually the weak spot. My F150 is 11,200 tow spec, but the rear axle is 4,000 I tow 8,800 trailer. Don't forget all the crap you put in the truck bed.

You may want to look into RV Improvement Systems they use springs made in USA. Most other's made China. Look at their website for a video. You might want to talk to Sonny Dismuke about Liberty Rider.

On my NT 30rkdd the black and gray 1 share a common 4 inch outlet. Black handle on left of outlet gray on the right. It may be up very close to the belly pan. So if you can only find one outlet and no black handle look for the hole the cable would have come out of. All of this should about...
When we picked up our 36 foot NT tt the dealer set up the WD. The truck and trailer were level to the eye, but the truck front end floated at highway speeds. Had the rig weighed at a rally by Escapees they suggested to move the torsion bars up a notch moving more weight to front wheels. What a...
Lost one in a 04 F150 around 90k replaced with Motorcraft. No further problems traded 30k later. Now have 13 F150 max tow V6 twin turbo. Awesome truck way more pulling power.

Your rear axle has maximum load capacity. Check the placard inside the drivers door. Using air bags or any other device does not increase load capacity. Air bags can help level the truck when it squats under load. Everyone should have their rig weighed to see how much weight is on each wheel...
I have been reading a lot about factory suspension systems on the blog. I decided to jump in with what we will be doing in Goshen. I have a 2015 North Trail 30RKDD. The "RK" is rear kitchen. The overall length is 36'. NTs come with Wide Trax which spreads the axles apart for a wide footprint on...
I think Dane Mayer nailed it. I upgraded my TV in 2015North Trail. I needed a long handle Phillips screw driver. A real pain. I replaced the original screws socket heads, much easier. Still you are reaching up half way from the bottom. Good luck.

Folks are trying to tell not to trust mfg specs truck or trailer .
Have your current rig weighted wheel by wheel. Then you can clearly see what is your rig can do safely. Adding airbags to rear axle never increases the load capacity.

Re: EVENT: North American Heartland Rally: NV, Las Vegas - 10/6/2016 to 10/9/2016
So glad to hear that you will be there! So will we. We were disappointed that our paths have not crossed since our first rally in NC. Enjoy retirement!

We will arrive 10/4 and leave 10/11.
Chris,
We will arrive on the 20th. I had expressed an interest in the class. I will attempt to get to the afternoon class. If I'm late, I may just drop by to watch. Sounds like fun though.

FINALLY! Successful in getting reservations. When I got through to the rv park directly, Todd was very helpful. We are in Site J-10. We will be there 10/15-18. And we're a yes on going to the Opry.
Ed and Eddie Booth (and Sammy too)
Heartlanders,
This was our first rally--and we hope not the last! It was fun, and y'all are a bunch of welcoming people.
Thanks for all the hard work it took to pull it off.
