Hahaha. I love how they are the only people in the universe who haven't heard of any problems or complaints about these tires. Truly amazing.
I have the external "rubber duckie" antenna. Either it or the radio or both are worthless. Although after disconnecting it and connecting to the tv antenna and booster I'm leaning to the radio being the problem.
And where am I to get said different antenna?
I disconnected the antenna all together. I followed the advise of others on this board and added a splitter from the TV antenna and booster. No improvement. Bad reception still. And STILL when I walk up to the radio the reception (what there is)...
Radio Reception Troubles - Still!
So, I followed all the suggestions for improving radio reception. Went out to Radio Shack and bought a Motorola plug to fit the back of my radio and cut the F connector of a RG-59 patch cable and put Motorola end on. Added a splitter from the "Cable Out" jack...
Yeah, I guess a few small pieces of wood like that won't weigh much. I can paint it black and put some of the rubber anti-slip stuff on the top. Thanks!
I was wondering, for those of you who have a fridge, what do you have under it to get it high enough to open the door over the lip of the compartment? I have a temporary base made of orange lego blocks and the styrofoam packing that came in the fridge box but I want something a little nicer. I...
The connector on the back of the radio is the same style they use in cars (or at least used to use). It looks like a banana somewhat and I think it's called a Motorola plug. I searched the internet already for an adapter with that plug on one end and an F connector on the other. First time in my...
The antenna wire is connected to the radio. Even closing the screen door makes the radio fade out. Pulling the radio out of it's hole and just holding my hand around the coax improves the reception greatly. I don't know if it's the radio, the antenna, the coax, or all 3.
Thanks Jim. That's what I'm trying to do with the antenna. I guess I'll just have to cut the coax and put an F connector on the end. I already have the splitter out there ready to go. I was just trying to figure out how to do it without cutting wires. Someone said to disconnect it from the...
Lol. All in all I'm actually pretty happy with it Jim. :) We ordered a lot of extra things that aren't standard options and everything came through just the way we asked. I was worried it was going to be messed up, but not. I was pleasantly surprised. Now my dealer has my laundry list of...
@JohnDar: I've been messing with the stupid radio/antenna. How do you get to where the wire is connected to the antenna to disconnect it? I've look for an adapter with the stupid motorola plug on one end and a F connector on the other, but they don't exist.
Thanks for adding that Jim. I should add that we have the junky Jensen digital radio/dvd/cd player thing, not the nicer (?) outboard surround unit. They wanted another $1000 (HAHAHA!) to add that.
I think most of this stuff is wired wrong. Our speakers (all 4) in the living room work when just playing the radio. But a few we were looking at when we were still just looking only the front speakers worked. The radio itself (along with the rubber antenna) are a piece of junk though.
@Bob: I'd love to see a copy of the procedures. That way I can walk in there and ask to be shown that they did it.
@Bob: 60 on the Interstate??? HAHAHA! I'd get run over and killed. Hmm, maybe I can find a side street though...:D
Thanks for all the replies!
@Hank: Inverter! That's what I keep forgetting. Thanks for the reminder! And for sure on the money saving not buying ice. :)
@Jim: This thing is really light. And MUCH lighter than a cooler full of beer and ice. One other downside...I have to share it with the...
So, there is so much more room in the basement than I've ever had that one of the first things we did was go to W-mart and buy a little dorm fridge to keep in the basement. :) It's just a 1.7 cubic foot AC power kind with no freon. It does generate a little heat. Can anyone think of any issues...
Thanks for the replies on reprogramming the computer after changing tires. I specifically asked my dealer BEFORE I did it if they could/would reprogram it and they said no problem. One tech swore up and down you couldn't do it (he's ALWAYS an old grump), but the tech who actually did the work...
I'll be spending as much time as I can again this Summer at the Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay Preserve. Any other members here? I've always got a cold beer to share. :)
Also will be at Richmond the weekend of June 27 for the Indy car race as well as Richmond in Sept. for the Nascar weekend and...
My dealer actually filled ALL the tanks and showed me the levels on the panel, but I'm still not convinced 100% after hearing all the water tank stories. I'm going to buy one of those flow meters you put on the end of the hose and fill mine and see just how much goes in.
Yeah, the worst part is we don't actually live in the "town", we're just outside of it in the county, but it's still known as an "upscale" area so no matter what you get ripped off. Really ticks me off.
The 50 amp cord doesn't reach to where I wanted the box (that would have involved digging a...
That's a fun story. Thanks for sharing. It's great to see a women able to handle something like that, especially with so much poise. Most guys wouldn't have handled it that well. :)
Yes. I need to check mine and see if it's in the shower access hole. Someone from Heartland (I think) said recently that they started putting it there where at least you can get to it. With all the problems and leaks you would think they'd work on fixing this.
I *just* had a 30 amp box put in. $300 with approx 50' of wire. Of course where I live as soon as you tell anyone the town they jack the price up.
Why 30 and not 50? I only have the one A/C and even if we add a second I have no need to run both A/C's while loading and unloading the trailer.
I agree with gelcoat being overrated. Yeah, it's all nice and pretty but there is the extra weight and expense and upkeep. I didn't even think about asking if I could have had it added, and I asked about EVERYTHING. :) I'm pretty pleased with my non gelcoat sidewalls. From a few feet away you...
I *used* to get approx 11.5 according to the trip computer. I recently upgraded my OEM 245 tires to 265's and according to the trip computer I have lost 1.5 to 2 mpg. Not sure how that works, but it sure stinks.
My last rig came with Michelin LTX M/S tires as a factory upgrade. It was the best $200 I ever spent. They still looked brand new 5 years later when I traded it in. I was half tempted to take them off and put them on my new BC, but since 5 years is the average time frame you're supposed to keep...
1. Have no idea.
2. I was under the impression that gelcoat was an option.
3. We just ordered (and picked up) a BC 3250TS and added many BH options that are not listed as BC options. No problems. We even did some custom options and they were happy to do those to. All you have to do is ask. :)
Sigh. I never thought to look in BOTH ends. So I drilled out the holes in the shower head end a little. No wonder it hardly made a difference. I couldn't get it out though. How are you getting it out. It's in there good and I don't want to crack the plastic.
