I have a foldup bed cover on my 2500HD that folds into 4 sections and sticks up maybe 2-3 inches above the bed behind the cab. My previous unit has a tiny little scratch in the cap from where it touched the corner of the bed cover. It took me a long time to figure out how I did it, but there is...
I do the same thing as andy with trying to straddle the center line. There are HUGE potholes in the right lane just at the entrance/exit to the tunnel going both ways. It's amazing there aren't more wrecks due to these alone.
I should clarify I'm talking about the MMBT on 664. I never use the...
Thanks all. I'll check it all out. Anyone have a link to the splitter fix? I didn't see it yet. I didn't like the rubber antenna anyway, and why the heck they put it where they did is beyond me. My last unit had a metal antenna on the roof with a spring mount. It worked fine for reception and...
Thanks! Duh. I missed it the first time you said on the wall. I had first thought of putting a message center there (like the brochure says it comes with even though it doesn't and they wanted to charge me another $50 to add one), so I guess I'll rethink that.
Where'd you move the switch to SouthernNights? I've already considered doing the same but have only had the unit 4 days and haven't dove into the wiring and such.
I just noticed this same "problem" on our new 2010 BC 3250TS yesterday. I have a 3 gang switch in the cabinet. First is for the ceiling lights, second turns on the Porch light and Scare light door side, and third turns on off-door side Scare light. This is stupid as you can't use the porch light...
Just picked up our 2010 Big Country and a couple of things are very obvious with the radio. When listening to the radio on FM, when you walk up to it to change the station it gets very staticy, like the station is fading out. As soon as you move away from it it goes back to normal. Same thing...
I have the same thing. At the top of the UDC there are 4 flaps, 2 say Cable and 2 say Sat. That's all, no In and Out or Front or Back or anything else.
Thanks for the valuable info, Guy. I appreciate it. I hope whatever it is it's a simple fix and not something I have to live with, because I can't live without taking a shower.
Lol, I'm ready for the beer. It's a little too early in the day yet though. :)
Thanks for all the suggestions. I like the cheap and easy water and tire marks idea for a starter and then I guess I'll find a frame shop somehow/somewhere. Of course the dealer said it's not possible for the axles...
Glad to hear I'm not totally crazy. Thanks! My previous 5th wheel I got somewhat the same look down the drivers side, but when I lined it up with the lines on the road it looked ok. This one it was hard to do that with since there was so much traffic over the weekend, but it looks off judging by...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to be at a real campground this weekend and will play with everything while I have city water. I'm guessing the water pump is behind that panel in the basement?
I'll be at a real campground this weekend and I'll try city water and see if it's any different and mess with everything suggested so far. I'm used to our last one changing temp for a couple seconds when you use the shutoff on the shower, but this is too strange and really aggravating. Where is...
Lol, hopefully you don't have to take it out and rewire it. Ours didn't work because they had the audio output from the tv plugged into something other than an Aux input. I think it was plugged into the output from the dvd player, output to putput. Wasn't ever gonna work that way. Duh.
Picked up the new 3250TS and brought it home and while looking out the drivers side rearview mirror down the side of the trailer it looks like the trailer is going down the road crooked. It looks like the rear end is hanging out. This is looking in the regular flat mirror, not the convex mirror...
Thanks for the reply.
Re Hot Cold: The bypass switch looks to be in the correct position, but I'll check it again to be sure.
Re Pressure: We were using the tank and pump, not city water. I checked for junk and didn't see anything and I rinsed it out. I started a new topic for this as I can't...
New BC 3250TS and the water pressure coming out of the shower is pitiful. I took the showerhead off and checked for junk in it and rinsed it but didn't accomplish anything. I seem to remember a topic here about this and now I can't find it. I did notice there is a white "washer" in the hose end...
Just picked up our BC 3250TS over the weekend and we have a serious problem with the shower. At first I thought it was just a crappy water faucet but after day two I don't know. You turn the water on and set the temp and without touching the handles the water temp changes from cold to hot to...
Thanks for the replies. The comments about airbags on the truck and the MorRyde pin box make sense. I hadn't thought about it that way. The nice thing is the Superglide doesn't jerk and buck like a lot of hitches seem to because of how the thing wraps all the way around the pin and the tolerance...
Ok, so what's the general consensus on these aftermarket pinboxes? I've never used any of them, but am thinking of adding one to the new rig. Also will be adding air bags to the truck. And currently have a PullRite Superglide hitch that I won't be replacing.
MorRyde is supposed to take care of...
Thanks for the replies. Well, the BH's have a storage door from what I saw, but the BC's don't come that way standard, at least none on the dealers lot since none of them had the rear cap on them, they had a bumper. Just another one of those things to wonder about, the dealer didn't seem to know...
So, since the rear cap option doesn't have the standard 4" bumper, do they make any provision for sewer hose storage, or are we on our own? Couldn't find this anywhere. Thanks.
Thanks for the up to date info Bryan. It's appreciated very much. With all the concern about tires I'm really surprised HL does not offer an option for a tire upgrade though. I kind of stinks to have to plunk down another $800 or so after the fact for new tires. My current rig had a tire...
Thanks, I have heard good things about them.
I am now second guessing myself. I'm wondering if I just heard Maxxis because I didn't want to hear Mission. Maybe they did tell me Mission and I just heard something different. Can anyone confirm either of these? I'm going to ask again later on when...
I questioned my dealer today about a tire upgrade and was told that HL is now using Maxxis tires on at least the BC's and they have had no problems with them therefore there is no option for an upgrade. Can anyone confirm this??? This could be really good news, it it's true...
Thanks! I really loved the kitchen in the other, but we seldom use the kitchen. Everything is outside with us, so... And I really wanted a desk because after last Summer trying to work at our dinette my neck and back were a mess. So...it was all a tradeoff. Plus, this is really about as big as I...
So...yesterday we FINALLY chose between the 2950RK and the 3250TS and went with the 3250 although I still like the 2950 better in some ways, but the 3250 is more practical at this time in life. Some I'm going to have some remorse and as I was looking at the two of them side be side yesterday the...
Thanks a ton. Great information. I really appreciate the detailed reply. I was thinking of trying the Z-AIO at first. Sounds the easiest for starters. Do you know offhand it it has any UV inhibitors also?
And I was going to ask about your license plate (and inspection sticker which caught my...
Thanks Jim. I already have looked them over. 38'8" is a tad too long. :( It also has to fit in my yard and some smaller spots here and there. About 36' is max I can go.
We're looking at a 3300RLB as well as some BC's. I have a mid profile currently and it has roughly the same front basement size as the Sundance, but my front compartment is twice as large plus I have a HUGE rear storage compartment where I keep coolers, extra water, grill, and other misc heavy...
Firstly, I was just told here that the 3490BHS is discontinued for 2010, so if you found one you like I'd think quick, as they are not building them any longer. We saw one online over the weekend and I went to research it and asked here and was just told it's discontinued.
As for you truck, I...
