Bighorn in St. Ignace, UP of Michigan

Joseph/Gene - when in September are you heading south? We are going to be in the Petosky area in late September and that is pretty close to where y'all are staying. Maybe we can zip up that way (without Bighorn in tow) to pay you a visit.

    the Wonder Wash

This reminds me of my Boy Scout leader days when we would use a plastic 5 gallon pail with a small hole cut in the center of the lid. Put the clothes in, add warm soap and water and then use a CLEAN plunger to agitate the clothes. Drain the soapy wash water, add warm rinse and again agitate...

Thanks. That's a pretty decent rate for a campground so close to DC that you can take public transportation from.

    Me Again

I also would like to chime in on the duallies. After I get done hauling our BH down to Florida, DW takes over for the next three months and has no problem manuevering through traffic and parking. I would have nothing else than a dually with the weight you will be hauling.

Sure, but to make sure your husband doesn't feel bad about this, I also added him. Now, let's see if we all get off the "friendsless" category.

    Do you have friends?

Just checking one of the forum members public profile and saw this message: "________ has not made any friends yet" Now, I'm sure this person has plenty of friends, but just thought that this message under the "friends" profile was quite humorous.

    Possible Converter Problem

I've had my Interstate since I bought my BH 34 months ago and I've had no problems. Hardly ever have to add H2O. Although when it finally fails, I may go with a couple of Trojan golf cart batteries for longer use. I think Interstate makes good batteries.

The Oakmont (rear Den with 5 slides)

I'm glad to see Heartland bringing back the rear den. We've had our BH 3655RD for almost three years now, which has included three winters in Florida - the first one with another couple. The privacy was nice for them when it was time to retire for the night. Heartland had not made any rear...

    2008 Rally - Branson, Missouri - June 12-15, 2008 - General Thread

Probably not as much as we missed y'all. However, it was the fanciest wedding I've ever attended. Nephew was smart - married into a very nice and wealthy family and his bride was the first to be married, so they had about everything you could imagine. By us staying back here, we kept peace in...

    Computer and Camping

Always helpful to have a printer with you as well and the cable. Most folks travel with laptops and if the CG does not have wireless, then it is easy to find a library or coffee shop with wireless. Not a good option if you have to drag a tower and monitor with you.

    China Bombs got us today

After I had a Trail America blow out last August, I replaced all five with Goodyear G614s. Had one of those blow out in GA on the way home in April. Entire tread came off. So, now I fear the Goodyears will blow as well. I don't drive over 60 and check air pressure each day of travel - keep...

My 3655RD is pretty close to the 3670 and 3600 in specs and my pin weight is 2800. I do not have a w/d, nor a gen, but I do have the gen prep. I also have a TrailAir hitch.

2008 Fall Rally in Frankenmuth, MI - Sept. 18-21

We are undecided at this time as my wife's sister and her sister's husband will be staying with us for several days and they would like to go to Petosky with us for a week. We will probably not decide for a couple of months yet. BTW, should Jellystone Park fill up, there is a nice RV park...

How about prices at these parks you folks have mentioned? Nice thing about Tiki in the...

    Roof Destruction

I saw a Bighorn a couple of years ago in Kentucky with the roof billowing. Pulled into a rest area alonside him and asked him if he knew this was happening. He did not, nor could he have seen it when going down the road. I've seen plenty of RVs going down the road and this was the only one I...
