    Please Give Me Your Opinions!

Is it a Standard output truck or a H/O? Makes a difference. The S/O trucks came with the 47re and the H/O came with the 48re. The S/O was rated at 460 tq. The H/O trucks rated at 555 tq. I had a standard output. The engine tag under the hood will tell you the specs. The truck and...

    Waxing gelcoat. How much product?

I've had my front cap painted as a result of fading (heartland picked up the bill for that) and my rear cap needs painted, but I'm working on the side walls. I've done a 2x2 section with good results, but the applicators were used up with the black junk coming off after just that small...

    Waxing gelcoat. How much product?

I have to do a thorough de oxidizing and wax on my Big Country. First step is oxidation remover, then cleaner wax and finally pure wax. All Meguiars product per the heartland service department. They sent me a flier from the gelcoat manufacturer that specified these steps and these products...

Do I need to be worried about my tires?

I have a 2011 big country that came from the factory with sailun s637's in 235/85/16. I'm still running these same tires and estimate that the camper has about 10000 miles on it. I see no issues with the tires but have read that camper tires need to be replaced around the five year mark...

Considering new Tow Vehicle 2016 Chevrolet 3500 Dually - need advice on truck and B&W hitch

That sure doesn't sound right to me. If you have equalizer shackles, the rotation of the axles lets both axles continue to ride level regardless of the pitch of the trailer. Now if the axles were fixed, I could certainly agree with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Considering new Tow Vehicle 2016 Chevrolet 3500 Dually - need advice on truck and B&W hitch

I believe he was referring to the truck height would lower when the camper is hooked to it. The pin weight of the camper will settle the rear down a few inches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Big country rear hitch

We traded for a new team mega cab dually and needed to find a new place to haul the bikes rather than in the front of the bed as we did in our old long bed. Did a lot of researching to try and find a suitable hitch for the rear. I called and spoke to Lippert and almost bought their boat hitch...

It really doesn't matter, because I'm sure the truck will do whatever you need it to, but where are you seeing that? 31210 is the highest tow rating for the 3500. The highest I see for a 5500 is 30300. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ram Mega Cab

Because the new trucks are so nice. Plus I thought I was at a crucial point of being able to still get good money out of my truck. It was a pretty desirable truck with the 5.9 and only 75k miles on a Laramie dually. I tried to sell mine locally prior to trading it in, but no one I spoke to...

    Ram Mega Cab

The old truck did fine after I turned it up with a programmer, but my two buddies that I travel with are pulling with new duramax's and I always end up leading the convoy and could tell I was hurting them on the steeper pulls. They would never say so, but I know what it's like to lose your head...

    Ram Mega Cab

Looks like the one I have in my garage that now has 367 miles. So far I love it. SOOOO much nicer than the 03 Laramie I traded in for it. The trucks have came light years ahead in comfort and features in 13 years. Can't wait to pull my Big Country with it in the spring. Excited to see...

Did you use the puck system with the picture frame adapter (#4469)? If so, any issues with height between the fifth wheel and bed sides? I ended up purchasing a superglide 24k from a fellow heartland owner. Should be shipping this week. Thanks for all the advice so far. Sent from my...

2017 ram 3500 megacab dually fifth wheel hitch

I'm a proud new owner of a 3500 megacab dually. Been researching all I can about what type of hitch to get for my fifth wheel. I have read all the posts I can find. I see some that say you must have a slider. I have all the posts that say I have slider and never use it. My 5th Wheel is a...

Pine Mountain RV Park in Pigeon Forge, TN - Heartland is well represented

We are currently spending a few days in Pigeon Forge. Took a walk around the park this morning and Heartland is well represented. My Big Country, a Landmark, a Big Horn and an Elkridge. Mostly there are motorhomes in here. Of the fifth wheels here, Heartland is the majority.

    slide out question

i spoke to Heartland CS and they told me it was a maintenance issue in slides to have them adjusted and needed to take it to a dealer. I have never had any of my slides do this in the past and I have read the instructions on the lippert site to adjust it. I really don't want to take it to a...

Dear Heartland, Please put some warning stickers or some type of notification on the 3494 of the thickness of the wall where you mount the flat screen in the rear bunkroom. The recessed area looks great and is needed to get a flatscreen mounted and not interfere with the slideout. However...

Is the TRAILER to much for the TRUCK !!!

MACDAV - Don't feel bad man. I asked the exact same question before purchasing my Big Country.
