Our Dometic 1350 refrigerator went out on us recently. We had a repairman come out to troubleshoot the problem. He was able to reset the cooling system at the circuit board power module located behind the refrigerator. However, the light, ice maker and water dispenser still do not function...
My hubby is outside trying to fix our RM1350 4 door frig and I'm sitting here thinking we need to put a residential refrigerator in our 3670RL Big Horn (2011). I've seen where people said they added the refrigerator but my question would be whether an inverter is necessary or can it just run...
We have this same table. I had trouble with the Lamp and completely removed it and put a regular table lamp on the table (covers the hole). This is a sturdy table that won't tip over when your chairs hit it.
Johnson Creek RV Park (near Kerrville TX) is a small park located in a Pecan Grove between Ingram & Mountain Home. Peaceful and quiet with concrete pads, catch and release fishing, and deer galore. It was voted #1 Small RV Park in Texas.
Snowy Peaks RV Park in Buena Vista, CO has beautiful...
Our son is looking at a 2011 Sundance 3200RL travel trailer. He is single and would be living in it full time. We are looking for feedback from some of you who have a Sundance. Any help would be appreciated.
Same RV, same problem. I'm careful about wiping down cabinets when water gets on them and still have this issue. The kitchen slide front edge (platform?) looks terrible and all I've done is wipe it down and polish it occasionally. I love my Big Horn but there have been times I think...
We switched our sofa and recliners around so we would be facing the television. When traveling we remove the sofa legs, flip it on its back, put a strip around it and we're off. I think that's easier than moving the recliners and all that entails.
Does anybody have advice on how to go about cleaning? I'm thinking it went down the heater vent and am not sure how to proceed. There's also the possibility that it went down around the commode to an adjacent wall. Looking for advice!!!
After washing and waxing the BH before heading to Colorado, we had a nasty West Texas Dirt storm that coated the 5er. There was no time to worry about it, so we headed out, collecting bugs as we traveled. Today DW and I decided to give her a bath and I must say she was looking all spiffed up...
We just purchased a sleep number king mattress. We had one in our home (which we sold with everything else) that we really liked and decided to go with that in our RV. Love that we can each have the bed as soft or firm as desired. Tried the topper but it wasn't for us - donated it to the...
Just noticed your post. We are in Corpus Christi for the next few weeks and would have joined you had we not made other plans for today. Maybe next time!!
Like you, we full time. We took out the beautiful but bulky bedding, replaced the dining chairs with less bulky folding wood chairs, and replaced the recliners with Lay-z-Boys. We stored all of the removed items and will put them back in the BH when we are ready to sell. Frankly, I would...
A week ago today we had to put our sweet Roxie to sleep. She has suffered for the past year with Chronic Pancreatitus and each attack was worse than the last. It's one of the hardest things we've ever done. Roxie was a happy little dog who certainly brightened our lives. She is definitely...
The same for us. We are wintering in a park with cable, so we stopped service until we move again. As for DISH service, sometimes it's easier to figure out stuff on your own (if you know what I'm saying).
This is a great recipe for this time of year.
Cranberry Salsa
Ingredients
1 (12 ounce) bag cranberries, fresh or frozen (fresh is better--frozen tends to be mushy)
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 bunch green onions, cut into 3 inch lengths
1 jalapeno...
Interesting . . . I would consider that a large load. May I ask how long you dried it and what number? I tried drying two pair of jeans and they came out awful. I usually put them on stretchers, but we are wintering in higher humidity and it takes forever to dry.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get clothes to dry without wrinkling. It doesn't matter with whites or towels but when it comes to jeans or hanging clothes, I'd like to be able to pull them out without their looking like I've jumped up and down on them for an hour. Can any of you...
We moved the sofa bed that came with our Big Horn to the rear so we could have our recliners across from the TV. We flip the sofa on it's back and remove the legs, an easy thing to do, which leaves enough room for the slides to close. We were using the little round slide movers prior to that...
Actually, we just took a tour and it's located on Johnson Creek. It's a spring fed nice size creek so there is always water and there are some huge catfish in there. Unfortunately, it is catch and release only.
We arrived at Johnson Creek RV Resort in Ingram, TX yesterday. It is somewhat nice sized (46 spaces with 6 to be added) quiet country park in the middle of a Pecan Grove and along the Guadalupe River. The roads and RV parking are paved and the beautiful colors of fall are all around us. We...
We made two changes that have made a huge difference. We bought the wood folding chairs on e-bay, (took out the dining chairs) turned the table sideways and moved toward wall & closer to the window. That opened up more space for our two recliners and we even put the leaf in the table. We have...
We purchased 9/16" cellular shades for our RV. The one in our back window can be raised or lowered, which we really like. We ordered through selectblinds.com and the service was exceptional (ordered on Sunday, received on Thursday). They fit the windows perfectly. They carry wooden blinds...
Re: From 80 ro 25?
We also stayed at Mountaindale. It's about halfway between Colorado Springs & Canon City. It's very nice, quiet, with spacious gravel sites. (The picture in our profile was taken there). We looked at several other parks and the only one that might have been of interest...
We went to the RV supply today to purchase new handles for our closet. The owner made a great suggestion that I'm going to pass on. Reverse the way the doors slide open (until ready to go on the road). That way there's nothing to latch to when closed. Maybe this will help some of you too.
Ditto for us. Last Wednesday La-z-Boy delivered our two new Pinnacle Glider Recliners. We love them! We moved our sofa to the back wall and placed them facing the TV. We're thinking if we flip the sofa on its back and remove the legs we'll be able to close the slides. The jury is still out...
Count us in. Question though . . . since this is our first Rally, do we call the park to make a reservation or is it covered with your 30 reserved sites? We're excited about being there and meeting everybody.
Re: What a MESS!!!
I haven't seen or heard of the soap sheet or the soap pillows, however I'll be sure to watch for them. Sounds like a much safer option for a klutz like me .
Re: What a MESS!!!
I don't have a shop vac any longer (sold in the estate sell out) but it looks like a small one might come in handy. As for the powder detergent, I think that's a splendid idea!!! Thanks ya'll.
Re: What a MESS!!!
True - it smells like I have a clean house; however, the floors are dirty from dried mud and dust is always an issue!!! I will take your advice about keeping the fan in there a couple of days. Thanks!!!
I bought liquid laundry detergent today. I keep it on top of the washer along with the softner and a clothes basket. Ipushed the basket to hard and you guess it . . . the detergent went over the back side, breaking the top and spilling all over the closets. I wiped up as much as I could and...
