ATF: Bighorn - Confused regarding model Year

Our Big Horn was sold to us as a 2011 model. I noticed on the door that it was actually manufactures 6/21/2010. Wouldn't that make it a 2010 model?

No it is a 2011 they start making the model year about a year in advance.

I don't know how they do the model years because my 2011 North Trail was actually manufactured in April or May or 2010 and they are getting 2012s on the lots. New cars really start coming in in August or September. It probably has to do with changes or something.

Heartland doesn't make the doors, they buy them from a supplier who puts a date the door was manufactured on it. The actual date your trailer was built should be on the tag on the front lower street side corner....Don

Ours has been an "11" for two years. The DMV didnt discount the license fees the second year cause they said it was still new.
