I'll take pictures the next time we go down there and post them here. Porthole, thanks for the local suggestion. I'll wait til the spring to order the tires since we are done with the RV for the season. It's already been winterized! Thanks! Irene

    Bubble in the tire already....

I'm guessing there are some benefits to going to a larger tire,so I need to check a few things. Like - if I'm changing the tires how much more would it be to buy new wheels - and is there a preference of name brand etc? But first I have to be sure that it can be done. I'll call the company and...

    Bubble in the tire already....

Hi everyone! I haven't been on a while and I apologize. But I know you all give great advice. We purchased our Heartland Cyclone 3010 back in May 2012... We just noticed a little bubble on the side wall so I know it's going to be time to change. Since I've NEVER had any experience with a RV...

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

I've read that the fuse tends to go (while I was trying to research why mine was broken). Luckily the fuse was fine (and we purchased a huge box of fuses a few months ago). We actually got two switches now. The OEM one, and another rear jack switch. That one was what we used temporarily until...

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

Re: Landing gear switch broken help ASAP pls The new switch worked!!! Thank you for all the help! I don't think we were hitting allThree wires and that's why I wasn't working. We got a new switch and once we swapped it out, the landing gear worked. Looking back, we could have pulled the rear...

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

Re: Landing gear switch broken help ASAP pls Thank you! Yes it's a 6 wire system. It has 6 plugs at least. We called a local dealer and they said they have a switch in stock. We were able to unhook and are driving there before it closes in hopes that swapping out the switch will work. We were...

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

Re: Landing gear switch broken help ASAP pls We have been trying that and the gearing makes noises but its not moving. We tired. Red to blue wire. Red to yellow wire. Etc. now I'm thinking it might be the hydraulic system but the slide outs are working. Is it two different hydraulic systems?

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

Martin just used the switch. It just broke. It's flappy and won't do a thing. We are going to take off the cover and try to figure how to retract it. Any ideas? Thanks! Irene cyclone 3010

    Slide Room leaking

Thanks! I will see about getting it re-adjusted again... call the deal I had it done in the first place (I'm not sure what type of response I will get from them, but I haven't really enjoyed my dealings with them. They are very short and sometimes even rude...). I will see what I can do. PS how...

    RV wash service

Looks like we have one in NJ as well, near where we park the RV... the price seems pretty decent. Something like $50 for a wash?

    Slide Room leaking

Last year I found that the slide was leaking after a heavy rain - almost hurricain force. I brought it to a local RV dealer and they said they adjusted it but didn't really find a problem. We didn't really have anymore "driving rains" so we didn't notice any leaks. I have noticed from day one...

Any De-winterizing videos for the Cyclone?

Thank you all! I'm going to google some videos of de-winterizing as well as reading up on it. I did some reading but visual instruction is so much better for me. We are going to head to Strausburg PA to the train museum for the 2 year old. Anyone in the area or suggest a campground?

Any De-winterizing videos for the Cyclone?

Thank you! No ice maker or washing machine. Hooking up to city water is the same as being at a campground correct? I don't have to "blow out" the lines? We keep the RV at a storage facility right now... Until we move out of Hoboken!

Any De-winterizing videos for the Cyclone?

Hi All! Happy Spring! It's time for us to get the RV ready and we are going to head out to the Train Museum in PA this weekend (we hope) and it's time to de-winterize the Cyclone. This is our first winter with the RV and being newbies, we decided to pay someone to winterize it (and it wasn't...

    Need to organize my 'basement'

I know they sell the pull out trays but they seem VERY expensive. What other things have you done to help tidy up the basement area. I need to also get access to the hot water bypass and when we brought the RV in, our basement was a mess. They charged us to move everything out to get access too...

Need a fifth wheel hitch installed in an 2012 F350 156" wheel base.

My husband and his friend (very tool smart) were able to do the installation themselves. It was the the one with the super rails that leaves the bed of the truck completely free. It took them maybe 1-2 hours of installation, 4 holes in the bed that was very easy to do. I was told that the...

Tie down points in our toy hauler.

Duane thanks! Early April won't work for us but we are looking at the Cape May one in October. Maybe the one in NY in September. I'll take a look at the link and see if there is anything else. We are hoping to do a track day March 23 rd. Any suggestions on de-winterizing the rig? We won't be at...

Thinking about moving - need some NJ people's suggestions pls about RV parking town ordiances

Thank you for all the suggestions, including the one to move to PA! I would if I could, but it's not in the future.... While I'm a worker bee, I have to be near my job as well as our family while our 23 month old is growing up. It's nice to have at least. I'll keep looking at different town in...

Thinking about moving - need some NJ people's suggestions pls about RV parking town ordiances

Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been so long! Martin and I are thinking about moving out of Hoboken, NJ - and want to move to a community that allows RV parking on our property. We have a 35 foot Cyclone and there are so many restrictions out there in the town ordinances! I know this is a long shot...

Tie down points in our toy hauler.

Duane is wonderful with all the knowledge that he has! I use the Backley chock. I can't spell today. But we use it in the RV to tie down the bikes (we don't bolt it down) and take it out for when we are doing track days. It's somewhat expensive but you don't have to worry about the kick stand or...

New to 5th Wheeling and have freshwater tank questions

We don't have a sensor problem, but we also had the water gush out of the door side, under the frame when we 'overfilled'. Its difficult knowing when it's full because it would vary depending on the water pressure I think. I'd like to know about this as well.

    Newer pitched awning arms

I think I have it. I hate it. I can't figure out how to change the pitch which I think is impossible. I'd be willing to change the pitch b/c it so high up. I need to read the instructions one day... and maybe take the plunge. I have a lot to do to my Cyclone and so little time.... Irene

Need a measurement.....hope someone can help!

Definitely stay longer than 1 night. I only stayed one night (Friday) and when I found issues, the dealer said they didn't have time to really work on it. That ****es me off now that I know a little better. I brought mine to a local Heartland dealer, but one that does not sell Cyclones, to...

    Seeking tow vehicle recommendation

Well, I started out looking at tow behind toy haulers first. I thought, will I really need a bigger RV? And guess what. I ended up with a 5th wheel! It's big enough right now, but I'm SO glad that I got the 35 foot 5th wheel vs the smaller tow behind. Whatever your decision, good luck and do a...

    Slide leaks when it rains

just got it back from the dealer with same issue. They just adjusted the slide and when we got to our destination, and opened the slide, the carpet was extremely wet. Seeking tow vehicle recommendation

We went with the GMC partly because we had a GMC before and it just felt right once we got into the truck for a test drive. RV Capital Wholesalers - Recent Experiences

You can also try the RV outlet in Ringold VA. They gave me a very good price and from what I have heard were pretty easy to deal with as well. Billy, a sales man helped me there. RV Capital Wholesalers - Recent Experiences

I can't comment on a local place, because the most local place was hundreds of miles away. They gave me one of the best prices and could get the RV to me when I needed it. (we were in a time crunch). Since they are only a few miles away from the manufacturer, they didn't have to worry about...
