ATF: North Trail - Door side wheel well skirt

What do I need to do to replace the door side wheel trim piece. Is this something that needs to be purchased through the dealer? I have a 2013 North Trail 22FBS Vin # 5SFNB2926DE251675. The area around each mounting screw is cracked and I would like to replace it before I leave it on the side...

Door side wheel well trim piece has the sticker "Wide Track"

I think I have a permanent fix for the flexing of the wheel skirt. I filled the cracks with hot melt glue on both sides. this seems to be a good temp fix. I took the hint from Dewwood and put in some bracing. I had some scrap aluminum from a siding job and cut 2 pieces where they were like...

What is your feelings of Heartland Owners Assn offering optional RVAssist Insurance?

I would like to find out if the Heartland Owners Assn. (H.O.A.) would consider offering a paid option for RVAssist Insurance. One company Seven Corners Insurance, is a free member benefit with Family Motor Coach Assn (FMCA) and Good Sam offers a fee based option $80 or $140/yr...

    Medical Emergency Assistance

Bill, No, but what is to say that you use to own a motor coach (lie), sold it and bought a travel trailer or 5th wheel? My question is still "Could/Would Heartland owners organization sponsor with this Seven Corners Insurance, a group rate where we could purchase instead of including like FMCA...

    How Necessary is a Weapon?

For your sake, don't go speeding through Sheriff Joe's town, because justified or not you could be wearing the orange jumpsuit or pink underwear. To wish ill on your fellow man is pretty small of you. Having a drink/(non)prescribed medication and being pulled over by the local law can put you...

North Trail - Replacing analog for digital a/c thermostat

That was why I went with the LUX. Besides, Honeywell does NOT support the use in RV's, where the LUX will allow their tech support any and all questions. The LUX is smaller than the Honeywell. Frank

North Trail - Replacing analog for digital a/c thermostat

Re: ATF: North Trail - Replacing analog for digital a/c thermostat Just added the fan hi/lo switch. Went to Radio Shack got a "Single Pole Double Throw switch. Drilled a 3/8" hole in the wall below and to the left of the Lux Digital thermostat. Works great, just be careful drilling hole, thin...

King-Controls SL1000 digital signal meter- any good????

I ended up buying the King Control SL1000. Used it all season and almost eliminated all the weak signal no picture events. I think it was worth the 30 bucks I spent on it. Frank

Hammering when faucets (any) is turned on.

The pump is located in the sink base cabinet right next to the door. It is where a third drawer would go if they didn't put the pump there. I'm going to look into an accumulator, I think that would solve the hammer issue. Frank

Hammering when faucets (any) is turned on.

Since buying my 2013 North Trail 22FBS, I have had noise (hammering) when you turn on any faucet. Yesterday I cut an old thick mouse pad and put it under the water pump. This stopped some of the noise. I put some pipe insulation on the water feed lines under the kitchen sink. It seemed to...

2013 North Trail 22FBS Mods I have completed

That was the easiest mod. You shouldn't have to cut any wires. The wires on the thermostat are pigtails, if you pull on each wire you will find a wire nut on each. You will find that you will be able to maintain the set temperature from now on. The batteries are what powers your thermostat...

King-Controls SL1000 digital signal meter- any good????

Thanks for the reply, the apps only work if you have nothing between you and the broadcast antenna or you aren't in a valley. Obstructions don't show up in these apps. That is why I'm looking for a good and reasonably priced signal meter.

King-Controls SL1000 digital signal meter- any good????

Ron, thanks for the suggestion. From all the ratings on antennas I have read, the bat wing or the added piece put on some of these RV antennas is nothing more than a cash grab. The base antenna that comes on the Heartland rigs have the same ratings. The only thing to improve signal is antenna...

King-Controls SL1000 digital signal meter- any good????

I use a program called http://antennapoint.com, with a compass, but it doesn't do the fine tuning. The new digital signal requires a more precise pointing than the old analog signal did. The other problem is; you may be camped in a valley or you have a hill between you and the broadcast...

King-Controls SL1000 digital signal meter- any good????

Hi John, The last trip of the season was to Hartwick Pines SP, around Grayling. With you being from Jackson, you would most likely know where that is. I think I screwed up the antenna dial rotating the antenna so much trying to fine tune the stations. Before next season, I will have one, but...
