That is a really good idea. We have the X hose ( blue one.....) and found it needed a minimum amount of water pressure to make it work. One place I was filling from a sistern and the water pump pressure couldn't get water through the hose. Now I had about 150-175' of hoses together to reach...
Just got the trailer back from an 11 item list of repairs.
Between each job the tech adjusted the trailer in the shop for level. 4 times out of 11 the trailer did not level up in the front. The tech called Lippert. There is a thought of there being air in the system. The plan is in the...
We have a couple of divots in the vinyl flooring in our Key Largo from the slideout roller. Not sure what to make of this.
Problem or not..................
If I remember correctly, the storage compartment door will go under the bedroom slide on our Key Largo. Coming close to touching slide. So when closing slide, if door is all the way up, you will be mad after trying to close slideout.
In four months of ownership, I have come close way too many...
On our portable gas generators I shut the supply of gas off (valve) and let it stall. Never had a problem with any of my gas items except my snowblower which doesn't have a shut off valve.
I wish I could have made a gas gen work for us.
We got about 10.5 hours outta a tank. May not have been quite full.
Our set up down fall is getting the tanks out. A real pain in the hind end.
Hey all.
What is involved with winterizing the ice maker?
Found the water lines at the blue plastic solenoid? Just read about the 1/4" line behind the UDC that I will be shutting off as we don't uses the icemaker at all.
Also does one have to do anything special for the UDC directional...
The plot thickens..............
I've had Rejex on order for a few months now. The local dealer had a fire and isn't getting new inventory untill things are cleaned up.
May be a sign from the gods?
Thanx Rumaco.
Thanx Dan for the picture.
This weekend things almost leveled up for us. The wife even commented that things weren't great, but we didn't turn the bed around.
Was on my own setting up last night and spent 45 minutes trying to get into a site where trailer just doesn't fit. Scratched the **** out of the drivers side of trailer on tree branches and dinged front corner on stump by landing gear. IF we didn't have friends coming out for the weekend with...
No I have not due to carpet there. Don't think length of level will fit in shelf in closet.
There have been times where I thought level was close. Crawled into bed and within 10-15 minutes, I have a major head ache developing. This is the time where bed gets turned around.
Thanx guys.
Rear electric stabilizers are the last thing to go down when setting up.
I have spent an hour or two with my head stuck in the front compartment looking at things. There appears to be no flow controls and any kind of adjustment system. Gona try another dealer that has a more...
We started out using the floor for level. Then we started using the frame mount spare tire rack just behind the wheels.
Sometimes the front will level up side to side. Sometimes it doesn't. All while the wheels are level side to side. I have cut of some 2x10s and use under the tires to...
Tom; we only have hydraulic landing gear. NO self leveling system.
Squatty; what you have described is what I do. Even with the wheels level side to side, the front inconsistantly will not level up. When it doesn't level up side to side, we turn the mattress around so our heads face the...
Thanx guys.
The hydraulics are on the drivers side of the trailer.
But my problem still seems to be that things don't consistantly level up when the wheels are level. Meaning not every time we set up.
Forgot to mention about last time out.......
When I would raise or lower gear to get front level (front to back....) one jack would start before the other. When going up or down. What I found when I played with it going up, the drivers side would travel first. When I lowered, the same would...
We have had the jacks extended at various lengths in our stays. One place the slope of the site had the drivers side completly retracted while the passenger side was extended by 5".
I usually put a 6x10 under the landing gear unless it seems like we really have to retract the gear to bring the...
Mickey; we just got the trailer back today from the gen install. Went with a 6500 LP. Posted pictures in another thread.
I had 2 separate 40#s installed in the front cabinet beside the generator.
Thanx guys.
Sounds like the information from the online manual is good. But the drawings are different then what I saw first hand on our generator.
We have 2 separate tanks installed in the front cabinet. If this becomes a hassle, will re route the hoses to the trailer propane supply...
As an update, the trailer has been in for 2 weeks (taken allot longer than told.....) and we had a 6500 watt LP Onan installed.
We found out that we got a bum transfer switch so it will be another few days.
What do I need to know about this thing? Looked on the Onan site at the owners...
Thanx Riverrat.
When we were on hollidays we had intermitant luck with the jacks leveling up for us. We got lucky where we stayed for 5 nights (2 different times) and things leveled up. When we stayed single nights in our travells, we had to turn the bed around.
Once we get our generator...
A little shelf on both sides of the bed would be nice, at the head of the bed.
Also individually controlled lights over the pillow area would be nice.
And a small indirect light near the floor somewhere in the bedroom would be nice. Not too bright, but to allow someone to walk around without...
Hey Ray.
I'm having trouble following your last post above..... The fresh water tank does have a drain. I haven't found the low drain points for this trailer, yet......
Stang: for a 10 year old truck it does alright for power. Newer truck with more horse/torque would be better. I re did...
Yes it does. Only way to fill tank is to hook a water/garden hose and fill.
I would like to see where the water pump in trailer can be used to draw water from a container and divert to fresh water tank. Like using the sanitize/winterize feature. This only pressurizes the lines.
Reason is if...
This I thought of after awhile. But would like the ability to add water to tank. Because you can draw away from the gray water tank with a Tote N Store, if need be.
May look into the plumbing and see if a diverter type valve/tee/junction could be added. IF I can figure out all those...
Well...........
The tech says theres nothing wrong with the hydraulics. And apparently you can't level the front of the trailer with the landing gear. Last time out, the wheels were level side to side. The front was still low on the drivers side. And ofcourse I tried adding blocking to...
Apparently our purchasing dealer has a tech starting Monday.
It was the service manager from the parent dealer shop that said there was this 4" plate. Seemed to make sense and figured this guy "should" know.........
Tried all the stuff that you guys were giving for advice and nothing was...
In our last 2 fifth wheel trailers we never had a problem.
So I'm gonna make it Lipperts. Or the purchasing dealers problem.
The living area infront of the door was level before putting the landing gear down.
Lippert was to call me back on Friday. They didn't get back to me, so far.
So heres my story for this time........
The axles are level.
The wife wasn't around telling me to hurry up so I messed with the front. Took the weight off the hitch of truck with landing gear. Got the level out and checked the bathroom floor (linoleum) and on the counter. Counter was close...
Started to extend gear all the way untill the trailer started shaking. As you see in the earlier posted pictures they are sitting on 6x10s ( I think.....)
Will try again on level ler ground.
Not a good idea to run up and down. Cylinders are canted. So as you run up and down it changes width of the feet causing allot of creaking and groaning.
Lippert builds the hydraulic system so I will try and do some Google ing and or contact them.
