I think at least a little blame goes to the campground manager who put us somewhere I never should have been put in a 40ft fifth wheel, and couldn't tell that til I got back in there. Decided not to stay and did it pulling out of that section (different "road" and couldn't turn around). Anyway...
Used one of these several years back but they were not very accurate without some exact settings that had to be changed for every surface you wanted to check the temp on. Hopefully that's not the case anymore???
We're headed to Jellystone Park in Waller, TX (great place for the kids with a small water park and kids' activities nightly) with our new BH. Can't wait as we've only camped in it 3 nights since we bought it a couple of weeks back. :D I'll have a look around for other Heartland products while...
In my "owner's manual and documents kit" that I got from my dealer with the new Bighorn, is a flexible 1/4" hex "bit" maybe 8-10" long? Like for using with a cordless drill, etc. Anyone know if this was included for a specific purpose? Is it for the hydraulic pump?
thanks!!!
Man, it took me awhile. Obviously my BH 3585RL was not as easily accessible underneath as some other models - I felt like a contortionist at times! I used two 18" 50A extensions, cut 'em in half and wired one male and female end to the EMS, and one half of the other on the incoming line, and...
On our last SOB TT, I'd want to listen to music while outside in the evenings after dinner, but my youngest son would usually want to watch a movie inside. Obviously I couldn't do both.
With the Bighorn's large storage area underneath, I am thinking of installing a car stereo wired to the...
Quick question - we just got our new BH 3585RL and it has a Panasonic (I think) home theatre system. I found the switches for turning the outside and bedroom speakers on and off. Is there a way to turn off the living area speakers while still being able to listen to the radio, etc. outside or...
Picked it up yesterday - we are loving it!!!
It's huge! A little intimidating hitching up and hitting the road for the first time, but it tows like a dream compared to our 33ft TT. Love the roomand layout of everything.
PDI - I went fairly quick, inspecting things closely, focusing on any...
My new Bighorn is at the dealer as of this morning!!! Woohooo - can't wait to pick it up on Friday and go camping this weekend!
Anyway, I've already cleaned out our SOB TT. I think I've got everything we'll need initially (water hoses, sewer hoses & fittings, dishes, pots & pans, linens...
We will be picking up our new Bighorn in Longview, TX very soon (woohooo!!!) and I'm looking for a good place to spend the weekend close. This way if we have any issues we can take it back by Monday morning to get things taken care of prior to heading out from there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!
OK, so I've read the king size bed in the Bighorns are 70"x80", but in all the pics I see online of the new Bighorns there is a "banner" across the bed that states "Fits Standard Sheet Set" (which are like 76"x80" I believe). Anyone know for sure the mattress dimensions? Would like to pick up...
Hey Guy (& Gals), I live outside of Houston, and wondering what is the best place for warranty/non-warrant repairs within a couple of hours of here?
I am buying my Bighorn from a dealer 4+ hours away as the deal from them with our trade was way better than I could get the local dealer to do -...
As I continue to build my list for mod's/upgrades (and haven't even got the new Bighorn yet), I can't seem to remember if a kitchen vent fan or bathroom vent fan were standard or options. Should my Bighorn come with these or only if I ordered them???
Thanks!
I have a 2013 3585RL on order, and curious what "entertainment system" will be in it when it shows up. I honestly can't remember what it was when we looked at 'em a few weeks ago b/c we looked at so many 5th wheels - some had Jensen, some Samsung, some RCA, . . .
Anyway, trying to learn as...
We've been looking at 5'ers for a month or so. We are trading in our 2008 Rockwood TT - it has served us well, but I envied all the 5th wheel folks in the campgrounds - easier to set up, more room, nicer, more storage, . . .
Anyway, we decided to do it a couple of months ago. So started...
