The first thing I would try is to adjust the air intake of the burner so the flame has no yellow while you are at high altitude. You may have to be readjusted when you go back toward sea level. This is provided it has an adjustable intake and it is accessible. Ray

Try placeing newspapers on the shelves and bottom and in freezer. Don't ask me how it works, it just does. Hang a towel over the doors to keep them from completely closeing. Ray
