Made this change to our 3670RL this past year. Had a problem with the offside leg not being totally aligned and binding up. Even at the best of times, the lifting was anemic. You do need to swap out the offside leg with a new leg, but boy what an improvement it makes!

First mod that I made to our bighorn was to take the door covering all the switches off. I thing this was on the second day we owned it. Makes you wonder if those that design/build the units ever use them!

Re: ATF: Bighorn - Mystery Light It's purpose is to illuminate the step treads at night. On my 2008 bighorn, there are manual switches for it on the steps just inside the door. A bit of a pain if you are inside already, but nice if if you are leaving the camper before you close the door.

Pulling a boat up a ramp when the ramp is steep, slimy, or covered with rocks/sand is a lot different case than pulling a trailer down the road. Never driven a dually, but manuverability may also be a reason duallys never worked for him.
