Ordered a part from Heartland...anyone else receive terrible customer service?

I reckon that was the case...since I'm ultimately more concerned with results, I'll definitely give them another chance. Question: I received the updated quote yesterday, and the part I ordered is $20.24, but the shipping is $35.62...so $55.86 for a $20 part. I had my 200 lb. ProPride hitch...

Ordered a part from Heartland...anyone else receive terrible customer service?

Perhaps...but even if I was 100% in the wrong, I would be pretty I displeased to have one of my public facing representatives communicating with customers in that way, if I were running Heartland.

Ordered a part from Heartland...anyone else receive terrible customer service?

What don't you get? I asked for the one part (the wooden bezel) that required customization, and Michelle arbitrarily added an additional part to the invoice. I apologized if there had been a miscommunication, and reiterated that I only wanted the part I originally inquired about. Let's say...

Ordered a part from Heartland...anyone else receive terrible customer service?

Your experience is what I was hoping for, but didn't get unfortunately. Yes, I had water in the water heater. It was working fine on AC power for the first two days, then failed thereafter. Fortunately we were right there when it happened, or else it could have gone very differently.

Ordered a part from Heartland...anyone else receive terrible customer service?

Greetings, I recently purchased my second Heartland Travel Trailer, but had my first interaction with the company. I had read numerous horror stories about the brand, but the same can be said for most rv manufacturers out there, so I chalked it up to a general opinion of the industry. I...

First tow with new Trail Runner and new TV + ProPride 3P hitch!

Will post plenty of pics...don't worry there! I grew up in the area, and lived in South Lake Tahoe for a number of years. Such a great area! My favorite spot for RVing at the lake is the Tahoe Valley campground. It has a ton of full-hookup spots, and in centrally located to all of the...

First tow with new Trail Runner and new TV + ProPride 3P hitch!

So far the ProPride pulls great...but who could tell; the F350 is such a monster, the rear end didn't even sink an inch when I dropped the tongue on it.

First tow with new Trail Runner and new TV + ProPride 3P hitch!

First trip to Lake Tahoe next month is already booked!! We're heading up there for 5 days and meeting my parents at the campground...STOKED!!! We're debating taking a quick overnight shakedown trip to the local RV park just to make sure everything works properly first. Time is the biggest...

First tow with new Trail Runner and new TV + ProPride 3P hitch!

The 2011 Armada wasn't up to the task of towing our new 8,000 dry weight TT, so it had to go. I found a great deal on a sweet 2012 F350 Fx4 PSD Lariat in excellent shape. Took it out for it's maiden tow today, and was absolutely blown away with how easily it handled the load. The exhaust...

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Howdy Flips, I actually did end up picking up a ProPride hitch...and a new tow vehicle to boot! It's a 2012 F350 Diesel...our old Armada was just a little under gunned for the task. I take delivery of the truck on Wednesday, and will be making a trip up to Lake Tahoe next month; I was...

Entertainment center opening...what size TV fits?

That's what I was figuring...I'll have to wait until it gets here this weekend to know for sure.

    Going to Disneyland

Hahaha!! Sorry Sacto...ok, I'll concede that there are pretty nice views of the Sierra on a clear day :-) And I know what you mean about the GV being a stressful tow...I went up and over Tehachapi back in Dec of 2011, and I was very happy when it was over.

Entertainment center opening...what size TV fits?

Howdy all, I bought a new 2014 Trail Runner 31 QBBH sight unseen and will be taking delivery within a week or so. My question is this: will the 28.5" wide opening in the entertainment center cabinet accommodate a 32" LCD, which all modern models seem to have a 29.1" (since when do we measure...

    Going to Disneyland

Take 395 for sure and plan your gas stops. As you well know from traveling both routes, once you pass Auburn there's absolutely nothing to see until you get to the grapevine. 395 is much more scenic, and you can overnight in Mammoth.

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Howdy again John, I seriously appreciate the feedback and the concern...I assure you that you have caused me to take a more conservative and objective approach to evaluating my trailer/tow vehicle setup...thanks! And thanks for the photos, as you can probably tell, I love photos! I am looking...

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Good tip on the Hensley...I was looking at them last night, and that's a fantastic design! I have the regular weight distributing hitch/sway control setup, but will definitely go the Hensley direction if the towing feels off. Much appreciate the feedback gents!

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

I must say, you've got me a bit worried now...the trailer will be here a week from today; I'll heed your advice and take it out for a thorough evaluation. What concerns you about this setup?

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Good advice...I'll definitely get a base weight to make sure we're in the green zone. When you say uncomfortably close, is there some rule of thumb for comfort range? The tow capacity is 9,000lbs, and the GVWR of the trailer is 9,500lbs, which of course I'll stay well below.

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Hi John! We have a 2011 Nissan Armada 4x4. We towed our last TR across the country with it and it did great. Our first trip across we had a 2004 Nissan Titan, and it did great as well.

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

A few more shots...a couple from our first trip from CA to VA in 2011 Christmas of 2011...that fat little guy is now a 4 year old string bean! This bike rack actually ended up peeling the bumper off of the frame after about 2,500 miles...luckily, I noticed the beginning of the failure and...

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Thanks all! In about a year we'll be taking our third trip across the country via travel trailer, and since we've added a new child each trip (next trip included...new rugrat due in October), we desperately needed to upgrade from our old Trail Runner 2500BS. The last trip just about turned us...

New Trail Runner on the way!!!

Man, this forum needs some love! :D I just finished up the last of the paperwork and will be taking delivery of my new 2014 Trail Runner 31 QBBH a week from this Monday. This model had the exact floor plan we were looking for since it had both the 4 bed bunkhouse AND the east-west master for...

Need advice on power tongue jack

Howdy! I'll be taking delivery of a new 2014 Trail Runner 31 QBBH here within the next few weeks, and my first mod will be to swap out the manual tongue jack with a power model. Since we seldom stay in one spot more than 1 or 2 days, manually cranking the thing to set/release the load leveling...

Much obliged!! I just finished haggling and closed the deal about an hour ago, entirely over email to boot...it's an exciting time to be alive! They're shipping it from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and even with the transportation charges I got a steal...very happy with the deal indeed! :D Here...

About to purchase my second Heartland travel trailer!

Howdy guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a NOS 2014 Trail Runner 31 QBBH. I searched high and low for a model with both a bunkhouse for the kids (we have 3 with another due in October :D), as well as a slide in the master bedroom area, and finally came across this model. I'm actually...
