    silicone shower caulk removal

Ok so I know this has probably been asked before, but here goes anyway. I am extremely frustrated right now with trying to remove the silicone caulk used in the shower where the glass meets the shower surround. It seems to come off the shower surround fairly easily (one of the reasons we are...

RV Parks/Campgrounds recommendations along Highway 101 from No.Calif. thru Oregon

We just came back from the Redwoods in California. We stayed at Kamp Klamath just about 19 miles south of Crescent City. We enjoyed the campground, but bathrooms are not that great. People who run it are really nice and on Saturday nights they do an all you can eat bbq for about 16.00 a person...

Radio has a mind of it's own

Yes I did mention to my husband last night to just turn the volume down or mute it so we don't hear it. I really don't think the neighbors would appreciate it coming on in the middle of the night. Thank you.

Radio has a mind of it's own

Thank you for your input. If it continues, we may have to replace it (will check to see if extended warranty covers the radio) or try your idea.

Radio has a mind of it's own

I looked through the threads to see if my question could be answered before I posted, but no luck. Has anyone had an issue with the radio coming on by itself? We have a North Trail 24 RBS 2011 and I think the radio is a Jensen (not positive...will check when I go outside today). It's only...

    caulking question

Good point about caulking the outside of the shower. Inside only is all I'll do then.

    caulking question

JohnDar, It looks like silicone caulk on it now, but it has not held up. It could be the caulk job so I'll need to look at it again. Might think about doing inside and outside the shower...it would be overkill, but don't like water getting out of the shower.

    caulking question

We have also found that we need to re-caulk inside the shower where the glass shower wall meets the shower surround. What kind do I use? Wasn't sure if I could just use one that I would use around my shower at home.

    caulking question

Thanks everyone for your input. I really like reading what everyone has to say. John, This is a big job. I wish it would only take two weekends, but trying to do it when the weather is good for a few days. It's been a slow process. We are planning on looking at the roof too. We asked at camping...

Great ideas everyone. We are trying to make our way around ro the state parks and have not tried these yet. I have never heard of the rv park in wenatchee....it looks like a beautiful place.

    caulking question

I emailed Heartland to ask about caulking and they said if it's not already caulked then don't caulk it.

    caulking question

Ok so we have decided on the caulk to use...sikaflex 505 uv. We have started the process, but as I look at the old caulking I am noticing that there is not caulk on the underside of things..(ie storage compartments, tail lights). I know not to caulk the underside of the windows, but do I caulk...

    Things are falling apart

Things worked out. Brad just replaced the tongue jack and for whatever reason the toilet fixed on it's own. Ended up being a good weekend after all.😛

Thank you Oregon camper. Unfortunately our tongue jack isn't an electric one.

    Things are falling apart

Well this is our second trip out with our 24rbs and things aren't starting very smoothly. The first time out everything worked perfectly. Now I know it's a 2011 so somethings will happen, but come on both within an hour of getting to the campground. First the tongue jack will no longer go up and...

Tires, tires, and more tires....it's making me crazy!

Going camping this weekend so I think when we get back we will go talk to Les Schwab or/and Discount tire. It might be best if we stay with the same tire size. I will post what we decide on when we get new tires. Thanks for all of the advice...it's a lot of info, but useful.

Tires, tires, and more tires....it's making me crazy!

Thanks Jim and Amy, We are considering looking at different rim size and asking the tire shop if it will work with our trailer. We should just talk to discount tire to see what they say about the Carlisle. Thanks for the info. Lisa

mlpeloquin, We would buy the maxxis if we could find the 8 ply in our tire size, but we just don't see it on the chart provided. Our we missing something?

Tires, tires, and more tires....it's making me crazy!

Ok everyone I hate to beat this topic to death, but I really need some recommendations. I have read so many posts on this site concerning tires and most of the tire advice seems to be for the bigger rigs. I have researched and researched tires until it just seems to be a spinning circle....my...

Grey Ghost, Oh my, I hope you don't have problems. That would be horrible. Good to know that you have not had to use them.

I had not thought of the velcro. Thanks for the idea!

    Awning clamps

JohnD, Yes I saw the ones that tie down the awning when it is extended, but these looked like they were on the awning when it was rolled up and in the reviews people said they liked them for traveling. Just wondering if anyone uses them. Then again I could be mistaken so I will look again. Thanks

    Awning clamps

We have an electric awning on our North Trail which we absolutely love. We have heard of many horror stories of people losing their awning driving down the road. Are awning clamps necessary for an electric awning? If so, what do you recommend? We have looked at a couple different kinds at...

    Caulking around the windows?

We have had our 2011 NT 24 RBS for about a month or so now and want to re-caulk it before the rainy season hits. There is not any caulking around the windows nor does it look like there has ever been any. When I asked the dealer we were told that the windows are put in the trailer in a way that...

New Owner 2011 North Trail 21FBS

Congrats and happy camping. It looks really nice. We just recently bought a 2011 North Trail 24RBS about 3 weeks ago. We are loving it as it is the first newer trailer we have owned. Ours was also the first trailer (we looked at many) that we walked into and both loved it. Lisa

Gone camping in Washington State! Any suggestions?

Thanks. We have tried several state parks and we have reservations for Mossyrock soon. Fort Worden is one of our favorite places, but so hard to get into. We want to try a new place each time we go so we will keep Ocean City in mind. We also wouldn't mind trying some private parks. We have been...

Gone camping in Washington State! Any suggestions?

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome to this forum. We took our first camping trip in our {new to us} trailer and loved it. We are itching to go more, but because we just recently bought it we didn't have any trips booked ahead which makes it difficult to find a place on spur of the moment...
