MY 17' F250 gained ~1mpg after 30k miles

The turning radius alone is worth the extra cash for the F450. Not to mention the brakes. The tires are pricey but will also last twice as long as the 18" or 20" that are on the F350. I did not have an issue with financing and I have USAA insurance.

Hopefully it is pre-wired. There is a blank plate (electrical outlet blank off), usually on the ceiling of your front bedroom that has the cables. Drill a hole through the roof. You can also tell if it is pre-wired if it has the 6 pin controller cable. That is usually in the closet.

My MPG on the 17 F250 was a steady 11.7 around town no highway till I hit over 20k then it increased to 12.9 on the same commute. Not sure on the towing MPG since I got the F450 before the new season.

I agree with your opinion if you do not have a residential refrigerator. If you do then I recommend the 6V batteries. I use 4 so if 1 goes bad I still have more AH then most 2x12v setups. If you do use only 2 6v then a good portable battery pack used for jump starting will operate slides etc...

On my 17 F250 they were a huge improvement both unloaded and loaded. On the F450 they are not much different when unloaded but loaded I have them on 8 and there is a slight improvement.

I know the 2017-19 FX4's have Ford spec'd rancho shocks that are complete garbage. When I put the Rancho RS9000 adjustable's on mine the stock ones were already soft.

My 2018 32RS did not have the pre-wire. If you have the MSRP sheet from dealer it will tell you if it had the pre-wire. If not you will have to run the cables yourself.
