    Steel Garage

Sorry, I just had to share my experience I ordered a steel garage from Carolina Carports thru a dealer on Aug 3, 2020. I am not bringing up dealer because they have been good. So on Aug 24 2020 they requested site pictures. I sent right away showing I was ready. Then nothing…. I inquired in...

    Natural Gas

Good Points! Had everything covered but additional detectors. Good Call. The price is for sure, but it will be so nice not to haul those propane tanks all the way to town

    Natural Gas

Has anybody switched RV over to natural gas? I have my RV at a "permanent" site with natural gas available. Actually it is a well, so price is really good! The furnace would be the main thing, with water heater and stove just being a bonus. Thanks in advance!

    Automatic Regulator malfunction?

I have had issues with mine not wanting to switch once a tank gets empty. I will have to go switch it manually. Why does that always happen at night in the rain?

Humidity in coach removed with humidifier

Hey All, Staying in my camper a lot in colder months I noticed a big humidity problem. Lots of moisture on windows and sliding door. I didn't think much about it, until I saw the moisture running down to the bottom of windows and doors. That can't be good. So I purchased a 30 pint...

    Wifi Thermostat

That sounds a little expensive, but that would benefit me more than the AC. I am here a lot in the winter and would be nice to adjust remotely, to keep from freezing, and to be comfortable when I do arrive. When I get here and it is 50 degrees inside, it takes a while to get everything warmed up

    Ac help in Louisiana humidity

Put a thermometer in the vent and see what the outlet air temperature is compared to outside air. Maybe it isn't working as good as you think. Also check and clean the evaporator on top, they get dirty pretty easy.

    Wifi Thermostat

i have the Coleman unit. Seems simple except the 12 volt thing versus the 24 volt thing. Well I say that, it look like might lose the low speed fan, which I don't use so that wouldn't be a big deal. I don't have a heat strip either.

    advice on tight tank idea

One thing I do that I failed to mention, I hook up the water hose to the black tank cleanout occasionally and let run for a bit - - - Updated - - - Well said Bill, especially the "Tower of Poop"!! Reckon I will try that during the warm months.

    advice on tight tank idea

Yes, you are correct, I fixed it, the post that is... It is a regular septic, like at my house, actually there was a house here, so I just used it, works great. I don't think it vents anywhere. I have not smelled any sewer gas in the camper. I always send extra bowl of water down afterwards...

Heartland 2011 used incorrect Barrell connectors on sat in.

I would say that is the issue with my 2013 model. Are they easy to get to under camper? I am assuming you have to drop down the plastic?

    advice on tight tank idea

I have mine on lot hooked to a traditional septic. Been that way in this Heartland since I bought in January, and for 6 months in the small Coachman before this one. I haven't had any issues at all. I leave both valves open all the time. I have heard that if you send everything down the pipe...

Atwood Water heater - Inop on AC Power

Re: Atwood Electric Inop That is what I am confused about. The orange gets power when I turn on the switch on the tank level console, and propane fires. Still nothing on the white wire. The regular electric water heater switch is just for the 100 wires. I am to the point of switching the...

Atwood Water heater - Inop on AC Power

Hello All, Thanks for fielding my question. Atwood GC10A-4E in a Heartland 40FKSS (love this) Works fine on propane. I have read a lot of the post here and looked at the posted manuals. I am not getting 12v power on the white wire at the controller. The 110 switch in bath lights up, there...

Does the washer itself hold some water when not in use? I believe the standard household ones do. I was wondering about this as well. I often use mine in winter, but drain water, was wondering how that would work with washer?
