Re: EVENT: Heartland Southeast Regional Rally: GA, Pine Mountain, - 5/4/2012 to 5/6/2012
We had hoped to attend. However Andrea had to have a total hip replacemnt and will be laid up for a few months.
Our dealer installed a small one for us. It is "tight" so he must have found a stud of some sort on the curdside wall. It works great, along with and additional suction cup one!
I had a similar problem. Bought a new skirt from Heartland (+- $50)!!! My North Trail didn't have a support bracket so I made one from a wire shelf support arm. I also used spacers behind the skirt as the dimples do not set flush with the body. Wish I had thought to "line" the back of the new...
I also experienced this situation while "on the road". Someone suggested a temp. fix of screwing a plug onto the connector. This worked well. And if I recall correctly a few folks mentioned that they keep the inlet plugged all the time unless they are hooking up to city water.
I share your initial frustrations, but rest assured that they will pass and you will be more than happy with your unit...as we are. The water heater by-pass access is in fact located in the outside storage compartment. You will have to get your upper body in through the door...unless you have...
I purchased a pair from fastwayrv.com. They are onestep chockXL. They can be set from 16" to 24". I love them. real easy to use. If you order be sure to get the XL as they have a second type for the "standard" dual axle set up.
I like this box, esp. the price! I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Hopefully it will be big enough for my one battery (noted your two any particular reason for the 2nd?) and storing the equalizer hitch.
Great timing on my part. Just yesterday I started searching for recliners. I have LBs at home and am glad to know some of you have them in your units. I will "test drive" the ones in my local store for a good fit. Thanks
I had one put on before I picked up the camper. I've done this on my last two. The one before that, I didn't and reretted not doing so as I was always having to clean the slider top prior to closing it...I forgot to once and had some debris on the floor when I arrived at my next destination...
we have the factory foam bed......and love it!!!
both of us have back problems and the firmness helps. So....before someone buys an expensive matress it would be best to consider your personal preferences.
I took out the water saver that was on the shower head. That helped. Then, just yesterday, I was "investigating options" and unscrewed the shower hose at the base. Low and behold, it had a restrictor there also. I took that one out and now I have acceptable water flow.
Ditto to Ron's comment. Currently we are in Golden, Co. after taking a leasure 5 day trip. Our unit performed as expected (normal problems...all minor). I had to remember that I was towing this 32' long NT!!!!
I'm experiencing similar problems w/my NT. At least I can get to the anti-syphon valve. I think I will remove it and connect the line w/o it...at least until I can get it in for repairs.
However..........if several Heartland products are having this problem perhaps a new valve supplier needs...
I had an elec. awning on my last unit. I disliked it for all the reasons stated above. I fondly refered to it as a sunbrella as that's all it was good for. I opted for the good old manual one on my new one.
I must say that I understand one manufacturer now makes theirs' (and offers a retrofit...
I've travel both the "Smokies" )perhaps named after all of the brake smoke?:)) and the Rocky Mtns. I'll take the Rocks any day. that 441 can be real scary esp. with a long rig/wet weather and......tourist!!None

I had my trailer listed for sale on craigs' list. w/"no solicitation" option. These folks called most every other day. They were the only "commercial" calls I received. That alone turned me off to them.
I agree. It's not safe to put the rails on top of a drop in. In fact the shop where I had mine installed refused to put them on top. After the install I cut out two strips to expose the rails.......I didn't want to spend the $$ on a spray in linder after just purchasing the truck w/a drop in.
Fuel Additive 2007 duramax
I also have an 07 duramax (I love my Silverado!:)). This is my 2nd deisel, first being an 05 Ford:p. I've never used additives and both worked/work great. Love that allison tied to the duramax. I just keep the oil changed as needed and my tank topped esp. in cooler...
I've left a voice-mail but thought I'd "put it in writing". Hopefully this is where this should be. If not please redirect.
First of all I must say that this is a tremendous site. Although I've only posted once on a question regarding the storage of the sewer hose, I've gleaned lots of ideas...
Hi, i'm just a newbie working around the site to see if anyone has a solution to my "problem" I have a 2010 North Trail 28RLS Travel Trailer. We haven't used it yet....still loading it up!
Problem is, I don't have any storage area for the sewer hose...other than the too short tube mounted on the...
