I, too, have the 2014 Ram, 3500 DRW, and pull the Big Horn 3875. The pin weight on that unit is in the mid 3K and I have no issues with brakes. The Ram controller is set in the 4.5 to 5.0 range and I have no problems stopping. One vehicles is not doing all the braking. Good luck.

Fred, so you can only extend or retract your awning with the switch found with the other switches? I wonder what happened to the remote. Would a call to Lippert be in order, or do you know there is not suppose to be a remote?

Our 2014 Big Horn has a switch for the welcome back light in the cabinet with the other switches, and the step light is controlled by the Lippert remote. The remote also controls slides and the awning. There is no other switch for the step light.

I had the problem with popping on my 2014 3875FB Big Horn, and I used the Cat hydraulic additive. It solved the problem and it has not returned. Of the 3 fluids that can be used, Lippert suggested the Cat additive. Good luck.
