The lower protrusion is above the bracket and the upper protrusion is below the bracket. Hope that helps.

I ran into similar problem with my 3912. My was off about 1/16" on the lower bracket. I just ground the bracket a little till it fit. One other thing, compare your old legs with the new legs. Venture may have sent you the wrong legs.

Chase, That is a step down regulator. Heartland does this so than can run rubber hose from that tank to the regulator on the door side of your trailer. If they didn't does this, they would have to run iron pipe between the two tanks by regulation. Mike
