does ice maker drip?

After working fine for a while, our ice maker has begun to make blocks instead of cubes...

It seems like the tray is dripping water into the bin and it's freezing into a block there. Any common failures? Maybe an adjustment on the water level in the tray? (yes we are level...)

getting tired of hammering my ice back into cubes each night :(

What Have found is there is a water adjustment behind the ice maker panel. Probably getting too much water. There is a screw you turn in and out. It says plus or minus. Do one turn at a time.

Dave, when our reefer needs defrosting, the ice in our bin seems to melt on the bottom of the bin and re-freeze into a clump of cubes. After we defrost, it seems to be better. If you are referring to the cubes in the icemaker coming out in a block, Chopper is right. You need to adjust the amount of water coming in. Pull off that white square cover on the ice maker and you'll see how to do it. Something else to consider, if you are moving from place to place, water pressure may affect how much water the solenoid allows into the tray. A good regulator would prevent that.
