Never had a 50 amp rig until now nor did we ever have 2 A/C's until now. Was extremely warm this past w/e and we ran the rear A/C during the day and most of our guests came inside and vegged out to stay cool. Closed off door to BR and had bath fan on at a slow speed. Can you run 2 A/C's at the same time on 30 amp service? Only other elect items on were the fridge and tv.

We've never been able to run more than one at a time, but we seldom stay in parks with only 30 amp service.

If I remember correctly...my second AC in the bedroom wouldn't even turn on when connected to 30 amp. Does this sound correct?

I can run my two brisk air 15 k AC on 30 amp. I set the thermostat 2° apart. This allows for the start up amperage. Being that the ac's won't come on at the same time because of the degree setting I've never had a problem. Now if you fire up the microwave you might have a problem. I do this quite often.

Turn your Fridge and Hot Water to propane. 2 13.5k BTU would work most of the time, a pair of 25 k BTU would be over 80% main breaker capacity. You can not use every amp of the 30 on most breakers unless they are special higher load factor. If the park installed 100% load capacity breakers (designated with a C in there part number) they would handle two 15 k BTU capacity.

In my experience most park pedestals are in poor shape or worn out. Even at Goshen Rally several us where have issues with 50 amp loosing power with 30 amps load per leg.

My wife proved to me we could with out last trailer. The next week I replaced the 30A power cord with the molded rubber end for the power pole. It melted the plug.
