2011 Duramax P0087 Code

Have been experiencing a low fuel pressure code only when towing over the past 2 years just occured the other day in florida no hills just had oil change and fuel filter very annoying any thoughts Capt RC

There is a fuel rail pressure relief valve located on the end of a fuel rail. Once the relief valve has been activated it will continue to do its job but becomes weaker on every activation.
Been down that road.
The valve is inexpensive but a bugger to change.

On my 05 Silverado it went bad. The dealership took 5 days to figure it out with the help from GM. Lucky for me I was still under warranty.
The valve would intermittently not close all the way causing a drop in fuel rail pressure.
