2014 CY 4000 - Anyone else's bathroom fan fuzz up the cable tv?

When the cable tv coax is plugged into the coach and the bathroom roof vent fan is on, the tv picture gets fuzzy. This does NOT happen if the tv is on antenna or if the cable is plugged directly into the tv instead of being run thru the coach's coax connection.

Does anyone else have a coach with a cable tv/bathroom fan problem?

I've seen fuzzy cable with the vent-a-hood fan on.

You are picking up the fan motor brushes. If the motor wires were not exposed...you probably would not get the fuzzy pix. BTW, is the TV in the toilet??

No, the tv is in the living room. It is the factory installed big screen tv.

So to fix the fuzzy should shield the wires somehow?

Take a look at the coax going to the cable/antenna connector as well (both ends if you can). It could be a poor ground there. You can easily buy 2 conductor, shielded wire at Home Depot or Radio Shack. Easy to install, not so easy to get a ground. The vent and fan aren't grounded directly. However, you can connect the shield to the black (should be ground) wire that goes to the fan.
