Over the past several weeks the left rear outer tire on our new truck kept losing air pressure, not a lot but 10-15 lbs a week. I figured I must of picked up a small nail and was getting ready to head to my favorite tire shop. Before I left I thought "better just spray some soap on that valve stem". Sure enough it started to bubble between the 2 pc TPS. Called the dealer...
...they got me in right away and found corrosion between the stem and the alloy wheel on both rear outer duals. Apparently they have recently starting seeing this issue with 2017-18 F350 dually's with alloy wheels ONLY and randomly.
Ford has approved replacement of both wheels and I'm taking it in first thing tomorrow morning (13 Apr) for replacement. I'll see if i can pin down the shop foreman and get some more info.
Thought I'd pass this along. Safe travels.
