2017 Heartland Road Warrior Roof Problem

We bought a new 2017 Road Warrior in Dec. of 2016. The roof is bubbling up. So far Heartland has been great to work with. Our contact at Heartland said they would fix the roof and we could have a new year warranty starting after the roof is fixed. We asked for that in writing and now it is not his decision. We are still waiting to hear back from our contact. Has anybody had similar problems? Any input would be appreciated.

Hi CTK,

If you read your warranty statement, it has a section that says:

Heartland RV is not responsible for any undertaking, representation or warranty made by any dealer or other person beyond those expressly set forth in this limited warranty.

Heartland employees may give you verbal assurances that they will stand behind the repair for a year (which is pretty good), and will very likely live up to the commitment. But they probably won't provide a written modification to the warranty. And if they mistakenly do, it's not official. So it wouldn't be worth any more than the verbal commitment.

Sorry to hear about your roof problems. I have fretted over our roof more than anything! What do you mean, bubbling? Size of pea, quarter, bigger? Do you have any pictures?

We were travelling and stopped for fuel. Another RVer told us that as we were going down the road our roof was ballooning up. It is a large section just in front of the air-conditioned. I have pictures , but still trying to figure out how to post them on here. We just want it fixed correctly!
