2950 RK pin weight

Took delivery of our new 2950RK the middle of March. Great trailer! It is one of the shortest in the BC line but has one of the heaviest pin weights. I crossed the CAT scales our second trip out to be sure we were loaded OK. I was wondering where the fresh water tank is to know if it could have any affect on pin weight.

I am not sure where the tank is on your model, but check underneath to see where your drain fitting is. I would think that the tank is directly above it.

The good news is that your wife can buy all the groceries and cast iron pots and pans she wants. With the rear kitchen, the extra weight will be behind the axle and thus decrease some of the pin weight. With conventional kitchens, all the food, dishes, and beverages are in front of the axles, making the pin weight heavier.

Just watch your 5th wheel GVWR.
