3 Days without Sewer Gas Smell after vent pipe repair

Doesn't the roof vent perform this function?

I know, it's weird. This has happened several times. Once I drain the galley sink, no more odor.

Not always, the roof vent vents the tank, but in the case of the bathroom and some kitchens there is no vent to the roof directly from the sink.

Guys, thanks for the help. Sounds like I have a faulty studor valve. I will pick up a new one.
