3010 landing gear drive motor ?

I noticed today that when I extend or retract the landing gear that the motor pivots on the cross shaft. It moves about 3 inches then stops. when I go the other direction the motor rotates on the shaft in the other direction. While this looks like more a add on motor then a built in assembly. Does this sound like a normal way the motor works?

Scarey lookin aint it. Mine does the same thing. Has been beginning when I bou8ght it.

There are 2 legs on the the drive that is suppose to grabe on the square post. You might have one that does not grabe the beam and you rotate to the one that does.
It might be a broken leg, and you might end up braking the last one remaining.
