Here a few picture of my hitch cart. The cart is even with the tail gate so one person can install or un-install the hitch themselves in a few minutes

Hanging hitch

I leave the hitch hanging on the pin of our 3400RL and lift it out of
truck bed with the front landing gear. Works great for me.

The Reese select plus hitch is great with its two piece design. I can easily move the two pieces seperately. the head weighs around 70lbs and the legs and pivot assembly weigh about 90 lbs. much better than trying to move the whole 160lb unit.

Forrest;

What type of attachement stays in the pick-up bed when the boom arm is removed? How is it fastened to the bed?? :confused:

I added 3/8'' thick aluminum backer plate under the bed for additional support with six-3/8" bolts through bed as depicted in photo. Boom weighs less than 40 lbs and is much easier to handle than dragging the hitch scratching up the bed or disassemble the hitch.
