7k or 8k disk brake upgrade ? For cyclone 3010

I have a 2010 3010 cyclone and I'm thinking of doing a disk brake upgrade on it. I was wondering if it was worth while to put on 8k kodiak disks vs 7k. It doesn't seem to be much of a price or size difference between them.

Thanks for any input.

Bigger is better :D

One of the advantages of going from a F-250 ---> 350 ---> 450 etc is bigger brakes with each step up.

If that was an option when I got my brakes done it would be the 8K

But, either upgrade will be a great improvement on braking.

When I upgraded to discs I put 8K hubs on the 7K axle. The difference may be just the studs being 1/2 to 9/16. the bearings may be different as in heavier the spindles are the same.

I have 7k axles, Dan H. (Herbiesrig), has 8k axles and the disc brake part numbers for his were the same as mine.
LIke Jon said, use an 8k outer bearing if you now have 9/16 studs.

Peace
