A/C not working ???

We have an 09 Bighorn 3370. The front a/c in not working, it was an add on, coach came wired for it, its a Dometic penguin about 10 years old, breaker not tripped, neither fan nor compressor comes on, pulled the top cover the fan turn freely, seldom used, I always ran it for a few minutes when we were in a campground. Any thoughts why nothing is happening ? Thanks

Sounds like a bad capacitor or loose wiring. Check the connections and capacitor first. If all looks good, the control board might be the issue.

Typically a capacitor will not affect both fan and compressor simultaneously. If it's a piece split cap, usually only one of the capacitor banks goes out. Look at the compressor overload, and relay. The condenser fan and compressor are wired to come on together, on older units the condenser fan motor is also shared with the evaporator (indoor) fan through a double motor shaft.
