ATF: Bighorn - Mounting to outside wall

I would like to replace the existing coat rack with a longer one. What type of fasteners are best to use to mount to the outside walls.

I am assume you are referring to the inside of the outer walls. If so, short molly fasteners will work. What is holding the existing one on??

When I took the existing one off there was 1 screw into an aluminum support and one was just in the thin wall board. What I decided to do is ust the existing brace and the other screws I will use the plastic expanding wall anchors. thank you .

Sometimes HL installs a wood blocker in the walls so things like TV's and such can be mounted there. You might call HL service and ask what is behind your coat rack.
