View attachment 29496I just picked up my new Big Horn 3160el last week and when I was washing it I found a 1 inch gap where the front cap meets the top of the pin box all accross pin box. I was wondering if this is normal. I have nothing to compare it to.
Thanks
Dennis

We do love the 3160EL.

It looks like you can see underside of bedroom floor. It is hard to tell from picture but gap is around 1 inch.

Dennis, could you post of picture of the area in question?
I'm not quite sure I understand.
The pin box does not touch the bottom of the cap.

Peace

The pin box mount is attached to the frame, but the cutout in the filon panel might droop in that area since there is no attachment of it to the frame. Mine was slowing that at the rear of the mount (water damage from leaking washer?), so I applied some caulk to the backside of the filon and ran some stainless steel self-tapping screws with washers in to secure it.

Seems normal to me. The pinbox and frame flex somewhat in that area while moving down the road and that is normal also. If the cap was sitting on the pinbox...it would break the front cap.
