ATF: Bighorn - Slide out floor construction

I just purchased a 2011 BIGHORN 3610RE and beginning to wonder if I just made a 15 year mistake! Thinking we thoroughly inspected it, we missed a 4 inch area under the main slide. It is rotten!! We traded our 2004 Pilgrim Open Road due to my husband's declining health, thinking the leveling system on the BIGHORN would take some of the setup worries off of him. Now we find this rot on our first trip out. He says he believes he can repair this himself, but we can not find any details about the materials used. So proud of our BigHorn when purchased, now we are totally nauseated at the realisation that" yes" we did!!
