2009 Big Horn 3580RL. This is damage where the washer and dryer area is. Recent. Was some trim damage and I reattached it. this is different. Could this be frame flex? Thanks, all.

Our first indication of frame flex issue was the wood work around the washer/dryer prep area pulling away from front wall when hitched and going back flush when not hitched.

Thank you for you reply. When we bought this, very recently, the fiberglass under the front area (king pin area) was very wavy
and we had the dealer fix that. We are taking it to a repair shop next month for some serious slide repair. Thinking we made a
mistake buying this.

Was or is there a washer in the closet without a drain pan under it? The wavy overhang may have been the result of a leak from it or the hose connections. Not winterizing the machine can result in a leak that goes undetected until you find damage like that, and/or water dripping from the kingpin when the machine is running. DAMHIKT :(

Not clear what damage you're describing.

With frame flex, the classic symptom is seen when weight is transferred from the landing gear to the hitch, and vice versa. Put a camera on a tripod or other fixed object. Take pictures from the side with all the weight on the landing gear, and again with all the weight on the hitch. If there's frame flex, you'll see the exterior parts separating.

Our frame flex progressed from the washer/dryer prep area to the outside horizontal trim at the bottom of the bedroom overhang, and also showed itself in the difference in the gap between the hitch and the bottom of the nose when hitched vs unhitched. We took pictures and sent them to Heartland. Long story short they stepped up and repaired the issue at their facility at their cost. The results were excellent and the staff professional.

The way this wood is damaged suggests damage from the inside. Very recent. There was a washer and dryer in the rig and
we had the dealer remove them. The wavy filon was replaced. The rig goes to a repair shop on September 12 and I will have
them check this damaged wood area.

With the plywood being very thin on the walls. It wont take much water to make it warp badly.
