Thanks! Now, one more question: What is the turn on and off switch for, which is located near where the water goes into the unit?

If I am not mistaken that switch is to turn on and off the fresh water pump.

Two Three way switch (like the lights in your house).

Makes it easy to tune the pump off when you connect to city water.

We tried to put bleach in water holding tank to sanitize the tank, but when we turned the switch on, it did NOT pull the bleach into the tank. We made sure the knob was in the right position, but it didn't work. We are now assuming the pump, which is brand new, isn't working or burned out.

Are you sure that you have enough water in the tank?
Do you hear the pump trying to run?

The pump will only push into the lines going to the spigots. It won't pump into the fresh water holding tank.

You can use a y adapter and pump the bleach into the system creating a siphon, then switch to tank, open the other end of the Y and when you fill the fresh tank the siphon will draw the bleach and fill with the fresh water.

The easiest way to get bleach into the FW tank is pour it into the hose before you hook it up. Use the pump to sanitize the water lines or pump anti-freeze.

Dave,

We have the tank 2/3 full of water. We don't hear the pump trying to run. Therefore, we think the pump does not work.
Thanks,
Mauna

If you don't hear the pump run, be sure to check the fuse.
You also might consider removing the wall in the basement and check that the wire nuts for the pump wires are doing their job.
You can also use your multimeter and check for voltage at those wires.

Peace
Dave
