ATF: Cyclone - Help me understand couch

What is the purpose of the seat on the left side of the sofa in the 3100? Am i missing something? it is not comfortable to sit on because it doesn't recline and the "leg extension" is not long enough. If you try to sit in it like a chaise lounge it hits you about 3" below the knees. In my opinion it is worthless unless it does something that i haven't figured out yet.

It is that size because of the storage underneath. The seat itself is only comfortable if your legs are stretched out on the sofa. AT least that is the case with my 2014 3100

I agree my wife sits sideways in it and doesn't mind it. I just think it would be nice to be able to sit 3 adults on the couch.

Have found the same thing with our new TH. Storage space is so limited under the seat it really isn't worth the discomfort. Is there a replacement as two recliners would be better. I haven't torn into it, so does anyone know if it is three seperate pieces that the one can be replaced?
