could someone at the factory tell me the correct procedure for lifting my mk2900 to service the suspension.I don't want to take a chance on bending an axle, but lifting at the frame one point at a time it seems might twist the body.Any help is appreciated

The procedure is outlined on the axle manufacturers web site.
Both Lippert and Dexter recommend that you do not lift on the axle.
The frame is the place.
Having said that, a lot of people do lift on areas other than the frame.
I suggest you go to your axle mfg's site and read.
Always have your rig hitched to your TV when you lift.

To change tires, we've used two 6-ton bottle jacks on either side of the tires on the frame, with me and DH lifting simultaneously. (Hitched to truck). If you are working under there for a while, I think they recommend using jack stands, for safety.

A 10tn bottle jack is what I use. It takes alot of cribbing. You can use a floor jack on the axle with a block of wood at the spring plate to align the springs back to the shackles. The one NO-NO is raising one side of the trailer at a time while it sits on the front landing gear. Only do this with the trailer hooked to the truck. You could bend the landing gear or worse.
